Align an Element in Studio

Content Designers can use the available alignment options in the Design Editor to align the content elements on the canvas.

Content Creators can use the available alignment options in the Content Configurator to align image and video content elements within the bounding box based on the crop mode they've selected.

Content Designer

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Either create a new design or edit an existing one. The following steps are the same for both image and video designs.
    • If editing an existing design, click Edit design to access the Design Editor.
    • If creating a new design the Design Editor will automatically open.
  3. Click the content item on the canvas or the timeline that you want to align.
  4. Select one of the available alignment buttons in the right sidebar to align the content item.iGjmM06bN66HU7Qy.png
    • (Optional) You can set the position of the content item using the X and Y fields in the right sidebar. The item can also be moved around the canvas by dragging and dropping.  

Note: You cannot align content items that are locked.

Content Creator

Image designs

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Either create a new design or edit an existing one.
  3. In the right sidebar, you'll find the image content items you can align.
  4. Select the More image options dropdown below an image element.
  5. Navigate to Crop mode dropdown and select the preferred crop mode.
  6. Use the Align horizontally or Horizontal offset and Align vertically or Vertical offset sliders to align the content item within its frame.
    • If using the Free crop mode, you will also have a slider to scale your image within the frame.

Video designs

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Either create a new design or edit an existing one.
  3. In the right sidebar, you will find the image and video content items you can align for the selected scene.
  4. Click More image options or More video options dropdown below a content element.
  5. Open the Crop mode dropdown and select the preferred crop mode.
  6. Use the Align horizontally or Horizontal offset and Align vertically or Vertical offset sliders to align the content item within its frame.
    • If using the Free crop mode, you will also have a slider to scale the item within the frame. 

Additional Information

  • You cannot align content items in the Design Editor that are locked.
  • The alignment of the placeholder images within the bounding box can also be adjusted in the Design Editor by following the steps above.
