How To Create And Manage Brand Palettes And Brand Colors In Studio

Summary

Brand colors allow users to automatically apply a preferred color palette when using any type of element that has a color property assigned to it, such as shapes, lines, and text. Users that have the Basic Studio package can upload one brand color palette. Users that have the Advanced package can upload an unlimited number.

Who?

This feature/solution requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.

Once Studio is enabled users with the Admin and Content Designer permission can manage brand colors and palettes. 

Why?

Studio is a powerful tool for content creation. Using branded colors and color palettes ensures users meet brand specific requirements and guidelines. Keeping branded content in the control of the Admins, while allowing all users to create with Studio allows for maximum efficiency while maintaining brand consistency. 

How?

Creating A Color Palette And Brand Colors

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Under Brand select Colors on the left-hand sidebar.

    • All colors will only appear once brand colors have been set.Notification_Center (1).png
  3. Click Add color palette, which is located in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Name the Color palette and then click Create color palette.Screenshot_13_10_2023__18_28.png

  6. Enter the Name of the new brand color.  Screenshot_13_10_2023__18_29 (1).png
  7. Add the HEX code.

    • Use a color picker to retrieve the HEX code of the desired brand color.

    Optional: Add a value in the Alpha channel field to change the transparency of the brand color. By default, the alpha value is set to 100, the lower the number the more transparent the color will be.

  8. Click Create color to add the new color. 
  9. Repeat for however many colors are needed for the palette. 

Managing A Color Palette

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click Colors in the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Hover over the color palette and click the three-dots button.brand_colors_video_edit_color.png
  4. Click Rename, or click Delete.
    • When deleting a palette, read the warning message and then click Delete Palette.
      • This action cannot be undone. Deleting a color palette will unlink it and be deleted everywhere.
  5. Modify the name in the Name field.
  6. Click Save Changes. 

Managing Brand Colors

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click Colors in the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Open the color palette, and find the brand color that you want to manage.
  4. Hover over the color palette and click the three-dots button.
  5. To change the order of the colors in your color palette, hold down the three-dots button and drag the colors to reorder.
    • To rename the color palette, hover over the brand color and click the three-dots button and select rename
  6. To Delete the brand colors from the color palette click the three-dots button, and click Delete.
    • This action cannot be undone. Deleting a brand color will unlink it and be deleted everywhere.
