How To Create And Manage General Notifications

Summary

Bynder Admins can enable a general notification that will allows Admins to share important messages with all Bynder users by placing a notification on the login page of the portal. 

Who?

This feature/solution is enabled by a Bynder Admin.

Don't have Bynder yet? Start Here.

Users need the Manage portal settings permission to create and manage a general portal notification.

Why?

Some Admins may find it necessary to share information with all of their Bynder users. This task can easily be accomplished with a general notification, which will be placed on the login page of all users portals. 

How?

Creating A General Notification

  1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.

  3. Toggle the Enable notification button to on to enable general notifications.Screenshot 2024-03-19 at 4.05.21 PM.png

  4. Enter the message in the Notification message textbox. 

    Note: A preview of the message will be shown in the Message preview section.

    Add a link in your message?

    Use the <a href="https://DESTINATION_URL">text</a>  tags to create a link. For example:

    Click <a href="https://bynder.com">here</a> to read more about this on our website.

    5. Click Save changes.

Editing A General Notification

  1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.
  2. In the left-hand sidebar select General notification.

  3. Edit the message in the Notification message textbox. 

    Note: A preview of your message will be shown in the Message preview section.

  4. Click Save changes.

Disabling A General Notification

  1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.
  2. In the left-hand sidebar select General notification.
  3. Toggle the Enable notification button to off to disable general notifications.
  4. Click Save changes.
