Summary

Use your Content Workflow account to help with the production of multi-lingual content. You can use multiple tabs as part of your item structures to house multi-lingual content in the same item. Alternatively, you can use multiple projects to separate content by language.

Who?

This feature/solution requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.

Once enable users with the Create Templates and Create Projects permissions can set up their projects to create multi-lingual content.

Why?

Bynder understands that many of our users are international. Bynder wants to make sure your content is available in multiple languages to cater to all the audiences you wish to share your content with.

How?

By Using Tabs

If you want to create content in multiple languages while keeping everything organized, using multiple tabs in the item's structure is a great solution.

  1. Navigate to the Structure Editor.[CW] Structure Tab.png
  2. Use the first tab for your primary language.
  3. Select +New Tab to add a tab for each language in which you want the content to be written.Screenshot 2024-11-25 at 2.26.00 PM.png

This setup allows your team to incorporate secondary languages into the same item within Content Workflow. Each tab maintains the same layout, making it simple for everyone to know where things should be on the page.

By Using projects

Using tabs to separate multi-lingual content doesn't work for everyone, especially if you want to translate your content into a right-to-left language such as Hebrew. Users can do this with projects. The advantage of using projects to separate and create your multi-lingual content lies in your ability to duplicate all of your project's content into a new project ready for translation.

  1. Navigate to the Projects View
  2. Find the tile corresponding to the project you want to duplicate.
  3. Click the 3-Dots Menu in the bottom right-hand corner of the project tile and select Duplicate.Screenshot 2024-11-29 at 12.39.10 PM.png
  4. Name the project and hit Duplicate.Screenshot 2024-11-29 at 1.07.27 PM.png
  5. The duplicated project will populate with all items, structures, templates, and content.Screenshot 2024-11-29 at 1.11.57 PM.png
  6. You're now ready to translate each field as needed.
