Understanding The Dashboards

Delivery Metrics-Overview Dashboard

Number of Assets Served

This metric represents the total instances where assets have been served externally. It is sometimes referred to as "requests," and other platforms may label it as "impressions." This measurement provides insight into the volume of content distribution and helps assess the scale of external asset usage.

Unique Assets Served

This represents the number of distinct assets accessed through external channels. Understanding the most frequently used assets can guide content creation and optimization strategies.

Number Of Websites

Displays how many external websites are embedding or linking to your assets. This helps track the breadth of your content’s distribution and ensures brand consistency across multiple platforms.

Top 25 Assets Served

Identifies the most frequently accessed assets, helping you recognize high-value content and determine which assets drive engagement.

Top 25 Websites Served

Shows the top websites utilizing your assets. This helps you pinpoint key partners, popular external platforms, and potential areas for improving asset distribution.

Assets Served Over Time

A visual representation of asset distribution over a selected period. It helps you analyze trends, identify peak engagement periods, and adjust your content strategy accordingly.

Trend Analysis

Displays seasonal variations and long-term trends in asset usage. Recognizing patterns can assist in aligning content distribution with marketing campaigns and audience behaviors.

Assets Served By Type Over Time

Breaks down asset distribution by type (e.g., images, videos, documents). Understanding which asset types perform best helps tailor content strategies to audience preferences. Additionally, it shows the source of asset delivery, whether through adaptive video, CX For Omnichannel (CX For OC), or public link.

Websites Over Time

Tracks how external websites interact with your assets over time. This allows you to monitor the performance of different platforms and adjust asset-sharing strategies based on engagement levels.

Traffic

Tracks how much traffic is being directed to your assets. This is tracked in either GB(gigabyte) or TB(terabyte) depending on the amount of traffic.

Delivery Metrics-Adaptive Video Dashboard

The Adaptive Video dashboard provides insights into the delivery and performance of streaming video assets managed in within the DAM. It tracks key metrics such as the total number of times videos have been loaded and the average percentage of each video that viewers have loaded. Additionally, it measures the total length of all available videos, helping users monitor content distribution and engagement effectively.

Servings

The total number of times video content was requested from Bynder and delivered to external platforms. Each serving represents a load event where part of the video started buffering for playback.

Note: This metric tracks server-side requests and does not guarantee the video was played in full.

Loaded Minutes

The combined length of video content (in minutes) that has been loaded across all servings. This is calculated based on 6-second video chunks delivered by the server. While it’s a strong indicator of engagement on longer videos, very short videos may appear slightly inflated due to preloading behavior.

Avg Load %

The average percentage of total video duration that was loaded per serving. For example, an Avg Load % of 60% means that users typically loaded about three-fifths of each video during their session.

Avg Loaded Seconds

Shows the average number of seconds of video content loaded per serving. This provides a simple way to compare typical engagement levels across different videos.

Servings Over Time

A trend chart showing how many video load events occurred during each period. Useful for identifying spikes or dips in external usage.

Loaded Minutes Over Time

Displays total minutes of video content loaded over time. Helps you spot patterns in video engagement and delivery volume.

Avg Load % Over Time

Shows how average loading behavior changes across time—ideal for spotting periods where users are consuming more (or less) of your video content.

Servings, Minutes And Avg Load % By Asset

Breaks down video metrics for each individual asset so you can see which videos drive the most loading activity and user attention.

Servings, Minutes And Avg Load % By Website

Highlights external websites where your videos are embedded, with their respective engagement metrics. Useful for evaluating partner performance.

Adaptive Video-Engagement Metrics Dashboard

The Adaptive Video - Engagement Metrics dashboard provides a granular look at how your video content performs across different platforms. This dashboard is specifically designed for content producers to measure audience resonance and geographical or platform-based reach.

Metric Definitions

Servings

The total number of times a video asset was served from the CDN Cache.

Plays

The number of times a video was played for at least one second.

Play Rate

The ratio of Plays to Servings, indicating how often the video is actually watched once loaded.

Average Watch Rate

Calculated as the number of minutes viewed divided by the total video length in minutes.

Completion Rate

The percentage of viewers who watched the video to its conclusion (Completes / Servings).

Engagement

The cumulative total of minutes played across all sessions.

Dimensions and Breakdowns

To provide deeper insights, these metrics can be filtered and viewed by several dimensions:

  • By Host: See which external domains (e.g., your corporate site, partner sites, etc.) are serving your video content.
  • By URL: Identify the specific pages by path where your videos are most frequently viewed.
  • By Asset: Compare performance between different video files (e.g., "Beach" vs. "Videofinishing DEMO") to see which content resonates best with your audience.

Use Cases

  • Content Optimization: Use Engagement and Average Watch Rate to identify which videos keep viewers interested, allowing you to produce more of the content that resonates.
  • Audience Distribution: Use the Host and URL breakdowns to understand exactly where your audience is consuming your content.
