Caution
This article describes a section of the latest version of Metaproperty Management. You may not be using this latest version yet. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information. Read more about the version of our Metaproperty Management that is generally available here.
By default, users can see all metaproperties in the upload and edit screen and other views, such as grid or list views. You can hide a metaproperty from specific permission profiles, groups, or individual users. You might want to hide a metaproperty for privacy reasons, such as a photographer’s name or the photoshoot location, or if certain metaproperties aren’t relevant for certain teams or divisions at the organization.
In the Metaproperties and options section, the icon next to the metaproperty indicates when visibility restrictions have been set up.
Note
Setting up the visibility for a metaproperty only hides the metaproperty and its options from the upload screen, edit screen, and all other views. Users can still see the assets tagged with this metaproperty in the DAM, and depending on the setup of the portal, the filter for the metaproperty may be visible as well.
