Adobe Stock Integration

  • Updated

Adobe Stock provides access to royalty-free stock images,  photos, graphics, vectors, video footage, illustrations, templates, and 3d assets. The Adobe Stock integration automatically uploads licensed assets from your Adobe Stock account (or multiple accounts) to your Bynder DAM for a centralized asset management experience.

How to enable the Adobe Stock integration

Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more about enabling the Adobe Stock integration.

Before setting up the integration

Adobe Stock for Enterprise is required for this connection. Only an enterprise account can add the server-to-server authentication required to sync assets.

Before configuring the integration in Bynder, you will need to create an app in the Adobe Developer console and add the server-to-server authentication and Adobe Stock API to it. Once created, copy the client ID and client secret, which will be needed while creating the integration in Bynder. More information may be found here.

  1. Navigate to Adobe's Developer Console, then click Create a new project.

  2. Click Add API.

  3. Select Adobe Stock and click Next.

  4. Select Oauth Server-to-Server.

    • Do not select Oauth or Service Account (JWT).

  5. Choose the product profile that includes your Adobe Stock for Enterprise license.

  6. Your new Sever-to-Server authentication will be created. Copy the Client ID and Client secret.

How to set up the integration

  1. Navigate to settings_menu.png Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.

  2. Click Browse Integrations in the left sidebar, then Configure in the Adobe Stock section.

  3. Enter a Name for this configuration and click Save.

  4. If you've already configured a Bynder connection, it will be selected. If not, select New authentication to add your Bynder credentials:

    1. Your authentication name: Enter a name for the authentication.

  7. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret you created in the Adobe developer console.
  8. Click Create, then Next.

  9. In the Adobe Client Credentials section, paste the credentials from the JSON package that you downloaded from Adobe Stock. You may first have to open the file in a text editor and copy the contents.

  10. [optional] Send To Waiting Room?: You can choose if assets should be sent to the waiting room or uploaded directly to the Asset Bank.

    • Check the box if you want assets from Adobe Stock to go to the waiting room for approval.

    • Leave the box unchecked to send all assets directly to the Asset Bank.

  12. Sync organization assets: If your profile has permission to view organization assets, you can import all assets across your entire organization.

    • Select True to sync all organizational assets.

    • Select False to sync assets licensed by the Adobe User Account or Profile that you attributed the private keys to.

  13. Click Next.

  15. Click Finish.

Note

If you have multiple Adobe Stock users and want to synchronize assets by those individual users (but not the entire organization), you will need to set up additional connections for each of them. This will also require each of those users to have their own key pair and credentials generated in the Adobe Developer Console.

How to use the integration

After configuration, all licensed images (and videos and vectors, if enabled) for the connected Adobe Stock account(s) will be uploaded to your Bynder DAM or waiting room, depending on your configuration. Moving forward, any licensed asset will automatically be uploaded to Bynder roughly 2 hours after you license it.

If you delete an Adobe Stock asset from the Bynder DAM, it will not automatically be reuploaded to your Bynder DAM or Waiting Room. If you delete a Adobe Stock asset from your Adobe Stock account or if your license expires, it will not automatically be deleted from Bynder.

Edit the integration

If you would like to disable or update your Adobe Stock settings, such as to sync (or no longer sync) videos or vectors, you can edit the configuration.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.
  2. Click Active Integrations in the left sidebar, then Edit in the section of the connection that you would like to update.
  3. Make your changes, then click Save.

Metaproperty Information

The following metaproperties will automatically update with the following details. Ensure that the metaproperties are enabled in your Bynder taxonomy in order for the information to map.
You can map additional Adobe Stock metadata to Bynder metaproperties during the integration configuration.
  • Description: Photo credit information

  • Tags: Adobe Stock, Adobe Stock ID, and all Adobe Stock keywords
