Adobe Stock provides access to royalty-free stock images, photos, graphics, vectors, video footage, illustrations, templates, and 3d assets. The Adobe Stock integration automatically uploads licensed assets from your Adobe Stock account (or multiple accounts) to your Bynder DAM for a centralized asset management experience.
Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more about enabling the Adobe Stock integration.
Caution
Adobe Stock for enterprise is required for this integration. You cannot add Adobe Stock to a JWT service account unless you are a Stock for an Enterprise customer.
Before configuring the integration in Bynder, you will need to generate a Service Account key pair and download an Adobe User Account or Profile credentials as a JSON file attributed to your key. It will require an admin or a user with developer access to Adobe Stock.
-
Navigate to Adobe's Developer Console, then click Create a new project.
-
Click Add API.
-
Select Adobe Stock and click Next.
-
Select Service Account JWT.
Important
Do not select OAuth.
-
Next, select Generate a key pair. This will create a signed private/public key in a format suitable for Adobe's authentication.
-
Click on the button to generate key in the lower right corner. This will download a zip file containing the private key to your local machine. Save this file and keep it secure. You will need the key to set up the connection in Bynder.
Note
This key will expire after one year, at which time you will need to create a new pair for synchronization.
-
Click Next. On the following screen, select the Adobe User Account or Profile to attribute the key with.
-
In the following screen, click Service Account under credentials. Alternatively, navigate to this page by clicking on the project in your Adobe projects list.
Download these credentials as a JSON file by clicking Download JSON in the top right corner.
-
Save this file. You will need this and the private key to set up the Adobe Stock integration in Bynder.
-
Navigate to
Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.
-
Click Browse Integrations in the left sidebar, then Configure in the Adobe Stock section.
-
Enter a Name for this configuration.
-

Domain - find your unique domain by copying the URL of your Bynder portal into the format https://name.getbynder.com or a custom URL.
-
-
Click Create, then Next.
-
Select New authentication then Add a new account.
-
In the Authentication section, choose Sign from the dropdown.
-
Leave the Passphrase section blank.
-
In the Private key section, paste the private key you downloaded from Adobe Stock, then click Create. You will first need to open the downloaded zip file, then copy the key (including header/footer) from the private.key file.
Note
This will store the private key securely in the application. It cannot be accessed or viewed by any Bynder associates. Keep this key secure. If lost or expired, generate a new pair from the Adobe Developer Console and update your configuration.
-
-
Click Next.
-
In the Adobe Client Credentials section, paste the credentials from the JSON package that you downloaded from Adobe Stock. You may first have to open the file in a text editor and copy the contents.

Note
If you have multiple Adobe Stock users and want to synchronize assets by those individual users (but not the entire organization), you will need to set up additional connections for each of them. This will also require each of those users to have their own key pair and credentials generated in the Adobe Developer Console.
After configuration, all licensed images (and videos and vectors, if enabled) for the connected Adobe Stock account(s) will be uploaded to your Bynder DAM or Waiting Room after about 2 hours. Moving forward, any licensed asset will automatically be uploaded to Bynder roughly 2 hours after you license it.
If you delete an Adobe Stock asset from the Bynder DAM, it will not automatically be reuploaded to your Bynder DAM or Waiting Room. If you delete a Adobe Stock asset from your Adobe Stock account or if your license expires, it will not automatically be deleted from Bynder.
If you would like to disable or update your Adobe Stock settings, such as to sync (or no longer sync) videos or vectors, you can edit the configuration.
-
Navigate to
Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings.
-
Click Active Integrations in the left sidebar, then Edit in the section of the connection that you would like to update.
