Who Can Relate Assets?
Users with one of the following rights can related assets during upload:

Before you can add related assets you must enable the Related Assets settings in your portal.
How to Add Related Assets During Upload
- Navigate to your Asset Bank.
- During upload select the asset and select
- Select Related assets in the left sidebar.
- Click Add Related Assets to relate assets to the selected assets.
- Use the available filters and search bar to find the assets you want to relate to the current selection, select them, and click Add Media.
- Check the Relate uploaded assets to each other box to link the selected assets in the upload/batch edit screen.
- Click Store/Save selected files.
- View related assets in the asset detail view.
How to Add Related Assets to an Existing Asset
- Select an asset you would like to add a related asset to.
- Click the Edit tab in the right sidebar and select Related Assets.
- Click + Add related assets.
- Use the available filters and search bar to find the assets you want to relate, select them, and click Addmedia.
- Click Save.
- View related assets in the asset detail view.
Note
The selected assets will only be related to the original assets; they will not be related to each other.
How to Remove Related Assets
- Navigate to your Asset Bank.
- Select the asset you would like to remove related assets from.
- Click the Edit tab in the right sidebar and select Related Assets. The related assets will be listed.
- Click the button next to the related asset that you want to remove.
Note
Click the button. It won't delete won'tsset(s) from the DAM; it will only remove it as a related asset.
- Click Save

You may have to refresh the page to see the changes.
Alternative Options to Related Assets
If you would like to update the original file of an asset without having to tag the asset from scratch, you might want to upload your updated file as a new version instead.
If you want to add a new download option for users with specific customizations, such as crop or format, you might want to upload your modified file as a manual derivative instead.
You might want to use the additional file's functionality instead of uploading supporting files that contain extra information on detailed or supporting (background) information about the asset.
