Unsupported File Types for Preview

If you're having trouble previewing a file, Bynder may be unable to produce a preview for that file type. Alternatively, you can upload a Custom Thumbnail for these file types. The following file types do not support previews:

  • Any file that gets flagged by the Antivirus feature in the Waiting Room.
    • Learn more here on enabling the antivirus scan for files uploaded to the Waiting Room or External Uploader.
  •  Adobe Illustrator files that are not saved as PDF-compatible
  • SWF
  • AutoCAD
  • Password-protected files
  • Videos that exceed 8192 (width) x 8192 (height) pixels
  • Office files exceeding 400MB
    • The maximum file size that is supported for office files is 400MB. Office files larger than that can be uploaded, but a preview will not be generated.
