A watermark is an image that is placed over an asset so that the original file is not completely visible anymore. This is to protect copyrights and unreleased assets from being downloaded freely. Downloads of watermarked assets have to be approved by Admin Users before Light Users can download those assets. In this way assets are downloaded in a safe, controlled way. However, if a watermark is no longer needed, you can remove it from the asset so it can be downloaded without restrictions.
-
Open the asset you want to remove the watermark from.
-
Click the Edit tab.
-
Untick the option Show watermark in the Advanced Rights section of the right sidebar.
-
Click Save to remove the watermark.
The watermark will now be removed from the asset. It may take a while before you see the changes reflected. The watermark download restrictions will no longer apply and users with normal download access rights can download the media without requesting approval first.
-
On the overview page of your Asset Bank filter or search for the assets you want to remove the watermark from.
-
Select the assets you want to remove the watermark from and click
-
Go to Advanced Rights, select the Show watermark checkbox and then choose "No" from the options that appear.
