Upload Assets as an External User (External Uploader)

External users are able to send files through the Bynder External Uploader. This allows a Bynder admin to receive assets from external vendors such as photographers or agencies without having to use a third-party file-sharing service before the assets are sent to the Bynder DAM.

Once assets are received they will be sent to the Waiting Room and the admin can either approve or deny assets and begin tagging with suitable metaproperty options, tags, and other information. 

File Restrictions

There is no limit to the number of files per upload batch. The default maximum file size per file is 50GB. Unsupported browsers may have lower file size limitations.

Upload Assets as an External User (External Uploader)

1. Navigate to the login page of the portal.

2. Drag and drop the assets into the External Uploader field. The upload starts automatically.

3. Enter the email address of one or more recipients or make a selection from the predefined list of recipients. Make sure to separate email addresses with a comma. 

4. Enter your email address.

5. (Optional) Type a message to the recipient.

6. (Optional) If required, provide the archive date.

7. Click Send files.

The files are uploaded to the portal's Waiting Room for audit. The recipient and sender will both receive an email notification that the files have been uploaded and a direct link to download the files will be included.
