How To Restrict Access To Additional Files

Summary

Additional files are supplementary files that can be included with assets. Examples include a release form or a price list. These files provide more detail or supporting information about an existing asset.

Who?

This feature/solution is enabled by a Bynder Admin.

Don't have Bynder yet? Start Here.

Users with the Download asset additionals permission can use this feature. Reach out to Customer Support if you wish to be able to restrict who can see and download these files.

Why?

Having access to additional files allows Bynder users to use more information regarding the asset. This information may be private, or not for all users, restricting access allows Bynder Admins to maintain the necessary control over their assets.

How?

Restricting Access To Additional Files

1. Navigate to Settings > Users & rights > Permission Management.

2. Disable the Download asset additionals permission for the permission profile that should not have access to additional files.
