How To Create And Manage Projects In Studio

Summary

Projects in Studio help users organize designs and enhance navigation. Create a design within a project directly or add it later. You can customize the project cover to help your users find the project more easily or to provide additional details about the project. You can add an image or fill color to the project cover.

Who?

This feature/solution requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.

Once Studio is enabled all users can create projects, however only Admins and Content Designers can customize the cover image of a project.

Why?

Studio users can create endless content, and keeping them organized allows users to easily find the content they are working on. Projects are the perfect solution to efficiently organizing designs.

How?

Creating A New Project 

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click the Projects section on the left-hand sidebar.
  3. On the right-hand side of the page, click New Project.
  4. Name the project.

Moving An Existing Design To A New Project

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Hover over the design to be moved and click the three-dots button next to the design.  
  3. A pop-up window will appear. From the dropdown menu, select the project to move the design to. image02.png
  4. Click Move.

Deleting A Project

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click Projects in the left sidebar.
  3. Navigate, search, or filter for the project being deleted.
  4. Click the three-dots button on the thumbnail of the project to be deleted.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. Review the information, then click Delete project.

Customizing The Cover Image Of A Project As An Admin Or Content Designer

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click Projects in the left-hand sidebar. 
  3. Navigate, search, or filter for the project, and click the three-dots button on the thumbnail of the project.
  4. Select Edit details.
  5. Select Upload cover or Color.
    • Upload cover: Click to add an image to the project cover. The recommended file types are PNG and JPG.
    • Color: Add a color for the project cover rather than adding a cover image. Enter the hex code.
  6. Click Save changes.

Sharing Projects

  1. Navigate to Studio > Projects.
  2. Hover over the project you want to share and click the three-dots button.
  3. Click + Share
    • To share this project with all users that have access to Studio, click the Restricted dropdown and change the option to All Users. By default, they will be Contributors.
    • To share with specific people, groups, or profiles, select Restricted and use the search bar to find the user, group, or profile you want to share it with.
      • You can transfer ownership from one user to another or remove ownership by selecting Remove. image08.png
