Tag Management

Tags help you to classify and describe your assets. Whereas metaproperties can be considered high-level categories, keyword tags can provide detailed information on an asset level. Tags are created if assets have keyword tags embedded, such as from stock providers or if your users add tags outside of Bynder. (This functionality cannot be disabled.) 

You can manually add, edit, or delete tags while uploading or afterward. You can also utilize Automated Tags or the tags created from Text in Image Search.

How do I export asset tags?

You can export a CSV file containing all asset information from your Asset Library. This spreadsheet will include a dedicated column containing all tags currently mapped to those assets. To export tags, you need to have "Export metadata CSV file on download" permission enabled.

  1. Navigate to the Asset Bank and select the assets whose tags you want to view.
  2. Click Download.
  3. Choose Export to CSV.
  4. This downloads a CSV with the metadata/tag values currently applied to those selected assets.
