How To Publish And Delete Content In Guides And Landing Pages

Summary

Once you create your Landing Page or Guide, publish your content to make it accessible to authorized users. When content becomes outdated, delete the page, section, or widget to keep your materials accurate. If you delete content by mistake, you can recover it immediately during your editing session using the Undo feature.

Who?

This feature/solution requires Customer Support to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.

Users with the Creator or Manager permission can publish or delete the content within Landing Pages and Guides.

Why?

Publishing your work once it is ready is the only way to share the work with users who have been given access. Before publishing only those who are creating the content can access it. Once the work is no longer accurate or necessary users can easily delete the content to maintain accurate and up to date Landing Pages and Guides.

How?

Publishing Landing Pages And Guides

  1. Navigate to the landing page or guide you want to publish.
  2. Click the Edit button -> Publish.
  3. Select the toggle to publish or unpublish the content.
    • Publishing makes the content visible to all users with access to the guide or landing page.
    • Unpublished content becomes drafts and can only be viewed by editors.

Deleting Pages

  1. Navigate to the Guide or Landing Page containing the page you want to delete.

  2. (Optional) click Edit to enable the editing mode.

  3. In the left sidebar, click the ⋮ (more options) button next to the page you want to delete.

  4. Click Delete.

  5. Read the warning message carefully and click Delete to remove the page and all of its sections and widgets permanently.

Note

Deleting a page removes the page along with all sections and widgets inside it. If you delete a page unintentionally, press Cmd + Z (Mac) or Ctrl + Z (Windows) immediately, or click the Undo icon in the header bar. Exiting or refreshing the editor clears your action history. FAQs

What if I delete a page, section, or widget by mistake?

You can restore deleted items during your active editing session. Press Cmd + Z (Mac) or Ctrl + Z (Windows), or click the Undo icon in the editor header bar. The history stack preserves up to 50 actions. If you refresh your browser or close the editor tab, the session history resets and your deletions become permanent.
