You can customize your project workflow in Content Workflow to match your team's needs. Below are example workflows for different marketing campaigns such as an email campaign, ad campaign, and landing page. Adjust your workflow as needed for your project. We suggest agreeing on your content workflow with your team before starting production and setting up your Content Workflow project accordingly. This ensures everyone understands their roles and the review process.
Note
By default, all projects have one workflow available. You can add additional workflows by selecting the + New Workflow button. If this isn't enabled please connect with your Customer Success Contact.
For marketing campaigns, your workflow will likely follow this essential process:
- Draft
- Review
- Edit
- Approved
Email Campaign
If you're producing lots of email campaigns, Content Workflow can help you keep track of the status of each campaign in your marketing plan:
- Draft
- Review
- Edits required - Editors can use this stage to notify that updates are required before content can be approved
- Approved
- Sent - Keep track of which campaigns have been sent
Ad Campaign
Ad campaigns can require input from multiple departments, so you can design your content workflow to match the production process your campaign needs to pass through, such as:
- Draft
- Copy produced, media required - Notify your design team to provide assets for your advert(s)
- Review
- Edit
- Approved
- Submitted - Keep track of which adverts have been produced

Launch landing pages quickly when you can get the content through your production process smoothly:
