How To Use Text Styles In Studio

Summary

Text styles are an excellent way to maintain brand and style consistency in Studio creations. Custom Text Styles allow Admins and Content Designers to create character formatting specific to the needs of the product. Content Creators can use preset text styles in designs to ensure brand consistency in all Studio creations.

Who?

This feature/solution requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.

Once Studio is enabled users with the Admin and Content Designer permissions can create text styles. Users with the Content Creator or Content Designer permissions are able to use the predefined text styles but cannot alter them in any way.

Why?

Text styles are a powerful content tool. They allow the Content Creators to maintain brand consistency while configuring a complex text layout in the content creation interface. Text styles ensure that Content Creators use only the predefined fonts and formatting of a custom text style, while giving them the freedom to decide what style works best for the product. Adding multiple text styles, including multi-font/language integration allows Studio users to be able to create content for global audiences.

How?

Creating A New Text Style

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click + New design, or open an existing design.
  3. Select an existing text element or click on Add asset > Text (for video) or + New Layer (for images). Additionally you can press 't' to create a text element in your design.
