Views in a Batch Upload

Summary

Workspace Batch Uploads has two views for working with the assets in a batch before publishing: List view and Grid view. List view shows assets in a spreadsheet-style layout, suited to reviewing and editing details across many assets at once. Grid view shows larger thumbnails, suited to scanning assets visually. New batches open in List view by default. After that, Bynder remembers the last view you used and applies it the next time you open a batch, including different batches.

Who?

Batch Uploads in Workspace are available to Publishers with Access Workspace and Upload assets permissions, and Requesters with Access Workspace and Upload assets with mandatory approval permissions.

How?

Review assets in List view

List view is the default. Use it when you're working with asset details, such as reviewing field values, comparing data across rows, or editing cells directly in a spreadsheet-style layout. Cell-level editing is only available in List view.

  1. Open a batch upload. It opens in List view unless you previously switched to Grid view.
  2. To switch from Grid view, go to the top right of the batch and click the List view icon.

Browse assets in Grid view

Use Grid view when the visual matters more than the data, such as confirming you have the right files, scanning creative content, or working with assets where the thumbnail tells you more than the filename.

  1. In the top right of the batch, click the Grid view icon.
  2. To return to List view, click the List view icon next to it.
