Chapters in Brand Guidelines

Within a guide, you can set up chapters, which contain pages. Chapters allow you to organize pages into high-level categories.

Create chapters

  1. Navigate to the guide you want to add a chapter to, then click Edit guide.

  2. Click +Add chapter and enter a name for the chapter.

  3. Click Create.

Edit the chapter title

  1. Navigate to the guide with the chapter you want to edit, then click Edit guide.

  2. Double-click the title of the chapter to enable in-line editing, rename the chapter, then click away to automatically save.

  3. Alternatively, hover over the chapter, click uuid-7db21885-08cc-89a1-bbc2-b29fe8ed5d92.png, and select Edit title. Rename the chapter and click Save.

  4. Lastly, you can rename the title in the page settings.

Move a chapter

  1. Navigate to the guide with the chapter you want to move, then click Edit guide.

  2. Click and hold the title of the chapter in the left sidebar to drag and drop it to the preferred position.

Delete a chapter

If you delete a chapter, all nested pages and their content will be removed as well. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

  1. Navigate to the guide with the chapter you want to delete, then click Edit guide.

  2. Hover over the chapter, click uuid-7db21885-08cc-89a1-bbc2-b29fe8ed5d92.png, and select Delete chapter.

  3. Review the message and then click Delete.

Warning

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. It is not possible to restore a deleted chapter or its content. If you delete a chapter, all nested pages and their content will be removed as well.

Share chapters

By default, chapters are accessible to all the users who have access to the guide they belong to. If needed, you can assign higher or lower levels of permission than those set at the parent Guide level. Learn more about sharing chapters.
