  2. You will need to set up your Global AI instructions to ensure the AI's output perfectly aligns with your brand's unique voice and guidelines.
  3. Once those foundational settings are in place, you are ready to start using the CXUC AI assistant to streamline your daily workflows and boost productivity.

How to set up your Global AI instructions

Global AI instructions in the CXUC AI Assistant let you set core rules for the AI's behavior. A master prompt is added to every conversation, ensuring the AI's responses always reflect your brand's identity.

Note: For the best results, it is highly recommended to load your tone and voice instructions into the Global Instructions when initially setting up the feature.

  1. Navigate to the AI Control Center within Portal Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Global AI instructions page.

  3. Write or paste your custom instructions into the text field and save your changes.https://pb-files.s3.amazonaws.com/production/attachments/e0127104cdb01b793ed97669dfd63b0ead09bc8a1ec241e87facce902b0afbb6/image.png

Best practices

  • Users may reach request limits.

  • Certain user inputs, like harmful content or requests for medical or legal advice, may be blocked.

    • Providing an explanation for content filtering would help customers understand these blocks.

  • This feature is exclusive to users with the CXUC package. Only portals with CXUC enabled can use the AI Assistant on their homepages.

  • The AI Assistant can only edit text in Text Widgets and cannot change content in Card widgets or Page Titles.

Guardrails and content filtering

The AI Assistant has safety guardrails in place to help monitor interactions and filter specific content, creating a secure and professional environment.

The system automatically checks text to block inappropriate content, including:

  • Harmful or Violent Content: Text promoting self-harm, violence, or threats.

  • Explicit Material: Sexual or suggestive content not suitable for business.

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Sensitive data like social security numbers, private phone numbers, or financial details.

How Filtering Occurs

Filtering works both ways, affecting what you type and what the AI generates.

  1. Input Filtering: If your prompt has restricted language or requests harmful actions, the system may reject it.

  2. Output Filtering: Even if a prompt seems safe, the AI's response could trigger a restriction (e.g., unintentionally explicit content).

    • Full Response Removal: If the AI's output is harmful or explicit, the entire response is blocked to prevent restricted content from reaching the user.

Impact

If content is filtered, you will see a system message stating the request couldn't be completed due to safety policies. You can try rephrasing their request to meet professional guidelines.

How to start using the CXUC AI assistant

Once you have enabled the feature and set your Global Instructions, you are ready to start generating and transforming content directly within your workflow.

  1. Navigate to the CXUC solution for your account.

  2. Select a guide or landing page and enter Edit mode.

  3. Select an existing Text Widget or create a new one. (Only "New" text widgets, released as part of the improved text widget update, can interact with the AI feature).

  4. Click the AI ✨ button from the menu toolbar to open the AI Assist window on the right side of your screen.

  5. Type your prompt to ask the AI to create or transform the content within the selected text widget. Common requests include asking the AI to Translate, Summarize, Extend, or follow a Custom prompt.

  6. The Conversational AI will then respond by either asking for clarification (e.g., "Please specify the language") or completing the task and presenting the generated content back to you.

  7. Each message you send to the Conversational AI includes all previous messages as part of the conversation context. In order to reset this, and start a new conversation - you can click the New Conversation button in the top right of the window.

  8. Once completed, you can close the conversational window.

More information

The AI Writing Assistant feature for CX User Community (CXUC) includes an optional setting that allows you to share your conversational history with Bynder. This document explains what this means, why it matters, and how you maintain control over your data.

Your interactions help us identify where the AI performs well and where it needs refinement, enabling us to deliver a more intuitive and effective tool. By retaining context from past interactions, the AI can provide more relevant and contextual responses tailored to your specific needs and communication style. Real-world usage data allows us to fine-tune the AI's capabilities in areas such as content generation accuracy; tone transformation effectiveness; translation and localization quality; and response speed and relevance. Understanding how users interact with the AI helps us prioritize future improvements and build capabilities that address your actual workflow needs.

Sharing your organization’s conversational history is entirely voluntary. The AI Writing Assistant will function whether or not you enable this setting. Choosing not to share the conversation history will not affect your access to the AI Writing Assistant or any other Bynder features. Only users with Portal Settings Management permissions can enable or disable conversational history sharing for your account.

You may change the choice to share conversational history at any time by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Portal Settings in your Bynder account.
  2. Locate the AI Control Center then Conversational Experience section.
  3. Toggle off the Share Conversational History setting.
  4. Click Save to confirm your changes.

Once you turn off the setting, Bynder will immediately stop collecting new conversational data. Any previously collected data will be retained in line with the retention policy. The AI Writing Assistant will continue to function, but without the personalization benefits that come from retained conversation context.

Bynder reserves the right to update this disclaimer as the AI Writing Assistant feature evolves. You will be notified of any material adverse changes through email or in-app notification and continued use of the conversational history sharing feature after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
