Access your Asset Bank on the go by using the Bynder Mobile App. You can search, filter, and view assets, add them to collections, favorite, and share them with others. If you want to access your assets and do not have access to service or WiFi, you can view assets in Offline Mode.
The App uses the permission set up in your portal and is available for iOS and Android devices.
Download iOS App
Download the app from the App Store.
Logging In

Open the app to log in.

Enter your domain (portal URL) and tap Go on your keyboard. Your portal URL is your website address, for example, byndair.bynder.com. Tap Next in the top right corner of the screen.

Log in to the app with your credentials.

If it is your first login, you may be presented with Terms and Conditions. Read the Terms of Use and tap Accept if you agree.

Grant the app access to Bynder by tapping on Yes. This will allow the app to fetch the assets from the portal.
Logging Out

Go to the Settings tab.

Tap your name and then Log out.
Search for Assets
You can use the Search tab to search for the assets you need. Follow the steps below.

Go to the Search tab, type your search terms, and tap Search on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can click a recent search term that displays when you begin your Search. The app will return the assets and collections that match your search criteria.

Optionally, you can apply filters to narrow your search results by tapping in the top right corner of the screen.

Tap View All to show all the assets or collections that match your search criteria.

Tap on the asset you want to open for a more extensive preview and detailed asset information.
View Assets

Go to the Assets or Collections tab and tap the asset you want to view.

A bigger preview of the asset will open.

Tap Details in the top right corner of the screen to get more information about the asset. Here, you can see who added the asset, on which date it was added, and all the metadata the asset is tagged with.
Asset Previews

Note: If you want to see thumbnails on your asset screen, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Learn more about which assets will display a thumbnail preview here. In the asset overview screen, other assets will display file format-specific icons (i.e., PDF, PPT, RAW, AI, ZIP, XLS, and PSD).
Select Assets
Tap Select and then tap the assets to select them.
Filter Assets
Tap Filter to narrow your results by selecting your taxonomy's smart filters and metaproperties. Also, you can use advanced filters such as Asset Type, Orientation, Date Added, Date Modified, and Extra (archived & limited). Tap a filter or metaproperty to see the underlying options.

When opening a metaproperty, the app will only show the metaproperty options that include at least one asset.

Remove Filters
Click an applied filter at the top of the Assets page to remove it. Alternatively, you can click Remove All to remove all filters.
Sort Assets
Would you like to see the latest or oldest assets first, or do you prefer to have them sorted by name?

Make sure you're in the Assets tab.

Tap Date Added (Newest) in the top left corner and tap one of the available sorting options.
Download Assets

Make sure you're in the Assets tab.

Open the asset you want to download.
-
Tap to download your asset. You can select more than one asset and download it.

Tap Original to download the original file or View Derivatives to download a derivative.

If you see a disclaimer, read it; if you agree, tap Agree.
Share Assets

Open the asset you want to share and tap.

The file needs to be downloaded first. Tap Download to proceed. You can select and share multiple assets at once.

A share dialog will open, where you can share your asset using the default sharing functionality of iOS.
Mark Assets as Favorite
When you like an asset, you can add it to your favorites. All your favorite items are grouped in a collection so that you can always find them quickly at a later stage.

Favorite assets are only available inside the app and not in the portal.

Open the file that you want to mark as a favorite and tap . The asset will be added to your Favorites collection, which you can find in the Collections tab.
- When your asset is no longer one of your favorite items, you can easily remove it from your favorites by going inside the asset and tapping .
Upload Assets
You can upload assets in the Bynder app, your Photo gallery, or another app that stores files.

To upload in the Bynder app:
-
Make sure you're in the Assets tab.
-
Tap + in the top left corner of the screen. If this button is not available, you don't have upload rights. Contact your portal administrator for more information.

Select the asset(s) you want to upload (for approval) and tap the Add button.

To upload from your Photos library or a different app that stores files:
-
Navigate to the file that you would like to upload.
-
Click the share icon.
-
Select Bynder (you might have to click More to see Bynder).

(Optional) The asset(s) will be uploaded to the Waiting Room by default. You can upload to the Asset Bank directly, depending on your user rights. If applicable, toggle the Skip the Waiting Room switch if you want to upload the assets directly to the Asset Bank.

Enter your asset(s) title in the Update title field.
-
(Optional) Tap Make titles unique when uploading multiple assets, adding an incrementing number behind the asset title—for example, Brand Logo 1, Brand Logo 2, and Brand Logo 3.

Enter a description for your asset(s) in the Add description field.
Note
If you upload multiple assets, all assets will be tagged with the same title and description.

Tap the Upload button to start your upload.
Tip
Do you not see a thumbnail for the files uploaded via your iOS device?
Bynder does not create a preview for HEIC file types. If you use iOS 11 or later, your camera may save the images as HEIC. Change this file format into JPEG or use the portal in the browser to add a custom thumbnail to your images.
Delete Assets

Open the asset you want to delete and tap .

Read the warning message and tap Yes to delete the asset. You can select more than one asset to delete at once.
Note
If the button is unavailable, you don't have the right to delete assets. Contact your portal administrator for more information.
View Collections
Open the Collections tab. You can use the search bar to find the collection you're looking for. Tap on the collection you would like to view. The collection will open; you can tap the assets individually for more information.
Add Files to an Existing Collection

Select the file(s) you want to add to a collection.

Tap on the existing collection to add the asset(s). You can only add files to your collections or collections for which you have edit rights. The collections that are unavailable to add assets to are grayed out.
Note
If the + button is unavailable, you don't have the right to add files to a collection. Contact your portal administrator for more information.
Add Files to a New Collection

Select the file(s) you want to add to a collection.

Tap and Create a collection.

Fill in a name for the collection and tap Save.
Download Assets Inside a Collection.

Make sure you're in the Collections tab.
-
Go inside the collection you want to download files from.
-
Tap (More)>Select in the top right corner of the screen.
-
Select the assets you want to download and tap .
-
Read the pop-up message and tap Download to proceed.
-
If you get to see a disclaimer, read it and tap Agree if you agree.
Share a Collection
You can share your collections via the app if you have the right to share media.

Make sure you're in the Collections tab.
-
Go inside the collection you want to share.
-
Tap More>Share collection.
-
Tap Share with and fill in the recipient's email address and tap . Repeat this step if you want to add more recipients.

Optionally, you can add a message for the recipient(s).

Tap Recipients can set up what users can do. Tap View if users are only allowed to View the collection, and tap Edit if users can edit the collection.

Switch the toggle Require login if users are required to log in before they can access the collection.
-
Alternatively, you can switch the toggle. Set the availability date to set up a valid from and end date. Recipients will only be able to access the collection within this time frame.
Delete a Collection

Make sure you're in the Collections tab.

Tap Edit in the top right corner of the screen. The icon will appear in front of the collections you can remove.

Tap the collection icon that you want to remove and tap Delete.
-
Read the warning message and tap Yes to remove the collection permanently. This action cannot be undone.
Offline Mode
Are you going somewhere without the internet? No need to worry about not having access to your assets. With offline mode, you always have access to your downloaded assets. Once downloaded, the assets will appear on your device and take up storage on your mobile device.
To enable the Offline mode, open the Settings tab, tap Offline mode, and toggle the switch. The app will reload, and the assets you downloaded will be available.
To turn off the Offline mode, open the Settings tab, tap Offline mode, and toggle the switch. The app will reload, and all images will be available again when connected to the internet.
Remove Downloaded Files
You can remove your offline mode files from your device if you no longer need them.
- Navigate to Settings>Offline mode and tap Remove all offline assets.
