Antivirus Scan for Uploads to Waiting Room

The Waiting Room serves as a preliminary holding area for assets before they are processed and added to the Asset Bank. To ensure the integrity and security of your digital assets, you can enable an antivirus scan for any files uploaded to the Waiting Room. This feature helps organizations maintain a safe and secure asset repository, preventing the introduction of malicious software into the system.

How the Antivirus Scan for Waiting Room Works

  1. Upload an asset to the Waiting Room.
  2. When a file is uploaded to the Waiting Room, it does not immediately become available in your asset library. The antivirus scan is triggered automatically upon upload.
  3. Bynder's antivirus software scans the file for potential threats, such as malware, viruses, or harmful code. This scan runs in the background without requiring any user intervention. The scan is designed to quickly identify and quarantine malicious files while allowing safe assets to proceed.

Scan Result

  • Passed Scan: If the file is clean and passes the antivirus check, it remains in the Waiting Room and can proceed through the regular workflow, including approval and tagging.
  • Failed Scan: If the file contains any malicious elements, it will be quarantined and appear next to the asset in the Waiting Room. The file will not be accessible in the system until resolved or deleted.

Benefits of the Antivirus Scan

  • Increased Security: Bynder protects your digital asset library from potential threats, ensuring that uploaded files are safe before they are approved for general use.
  • Automated Protection: The scanning process is automatic, minimizing the risk of human error while maintaining security standards.
  • Efficient Workflow: The antivirus scan runs in the background, not disrupting your regular upload and approval workflow.
