You can enable Slack in Content Workflow and get notified when an item's workflow status has been updated. Slack is a messaging app for businesses that connects people to the information they need. Slack transforms how organizations communicate by bringing people together to work as one unified team.
How to enable this feature in your portal?
Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable this feature in your portal and learn about any associated costs.
Before Setting up Integration
Every member in the Slack channel will be notified when the status is updated in Content Workflow. It is important to check the member list and notification settings in the Slack channel. Also, make sure to review the access of each user to the item or project in Content Workflow. If a user receives a notification in Slack but doesn't have access, they won't be able to see the project or item in Content Workflow.
How to Set Up Slack Integration
- Navigate to Content Workflow.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Scroll down to the Slack Integration section.
- Enter the Slack Channel name and Channel webhook.
- Click Create Slack Integration.
-
Now, whenever an item's status is updated in Content Workflow, a notification will be sent to your connected Slack channel.
Important Information
If you click an item mentioned in a Slack notification, you will be taken to the Content Workflow login screen. If you're already logged in, you will be taken straight into the item (if you have access to the project).
