Slack is a messaging app for businesses that connects people to the information they need. By bringing people together to work as one unified team, Slack transforms how organizations communicate. You can enable Slack in Gather Content and get notified when an item's workflow status has been updated.
To set up this integration you will need to have Create Project permission enabled in your role.
Before Setting up Integration
Any member of the integrated Slack channel will receive a notification when the status is updated in Content Workflow. Therefore we recommend you review the Slack channel member list and notification settings. In addition, review who has access to the item or project in Content Workflow since if the user receives a notification in Slack but does not have access to Content Workflow they will not be able to see the project or item in Content Workflow.
How to Set Up Slack Integration
- Navigate to Content Workflow.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Scroll down to Slack Integration section.
- Enter the Slack Channel name and Channel webhook.
- Click Create Slack Integration.
Now, whenever the status of an item is updated in Content Workflow a notification will be sent to your connected Slack channel.
If you click an item mentioned in a Slack notification, you will be taken to the Content Workflow login screen. If you're already logged in you will be taken straight into the item (if you have access to the project).
