Understanding Notification Types And Requirements

Summary

Users can manage notifications in the Notifications Center. Below is a breakdown of the types of notifications you can set up for your users and the requirements to enable them: In-app, Email, and SNS notifications. The information below applies to the latest version of our Notification Center.

This feature/solution requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.

Note: The Notification Center is getting a makeover! This will lead to better functionality, but there may be some functionality issues in the interim. 

Why?

There are three types of notifications available in your portal: In-app notifications, Email, and SNS. Notifications are an excellent way for users to be aware of their portal happenings. Below is a breakdown of notification types and their specific requirements.

Upload request *  
  • Users who have the Audit uploaded media for this option right set on the metaproperty option level
  • Users who have the Audit media in the waiting room enabled for their permission profile.

* Only users configured as auditors on the metaproperty option can receive an email notification. Additional configuration is required. 

Users with general audit rights will not receive an email notification.

Download request *  
  • Users who have the Audit download requests for this option right set on the metaproperty option level
  • Users who have the Audit media in the waiting room enabled for their permission profile.

* Only users configured as auditors on the metaproperty option can receive an email notification. Additional configuration is required. 

Users with general audit rights will not receive an email notification

The asset has been archived *   ** Users who have downloaded the asset before

* Requires archive asset notification

** Requires SNS notifications

The asset will be archived in the future *     Users who have downloaded the asset before * Requires archive asset notification

  • All users with the right to audit media in the Waiting Room will receive an in-app notification.
  • Email confirmation of a successful upload will be sent to the person who uploaded the files.
