How To Create and Manage Custom Links

Summary

Custom links allow you to create branded, shareable URLs, replacing long, complex links with short, on-brand vanity URLs.

Who?

This feature requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be managed by the Bynder Admin.

Once enabled, users must have at least one of the custom links specific permissions to use this feature:

  • View custom links: Allows users to see custom links that have been shared with them or created within the portal.

  • Create custom links: Grants the same access as the view permission, plus the ability to create new custom links and edit the ones they own.

  • Manage custom links: Grants full access to view, create, edit, and delete all custom links in the portal.

Why?

Custom links with Bynder are versatile. They can include passwords, start and expiration dates, and customizable QR codes to improve content distribution. You can use them for public campaign landing pages, sharing individual assets or collections, and linking to internal Bynder portal sections or a Bynder Express link. You can also set up these links to automatically detect and display the right language for whoever clicks on them.

Note: If you don't have these permissions enabled please contact your Bynder Admin.
