Use Automations to Set Advanced Rights

Summary

This article explains how to use taxonomy automations to automatically trigger advanced asset rights—such as watermarking, archiving, and limited usage status—based on specific metaproperty selections.

Who?

  • Permissions: Administrators with the Manage portal settings and Manage metaproperties are required.

How?

Follow these steps to create an automation for advanced rights:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Taxonomy > Metaproperties management.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Configuration.

  3. Select the triggering metaproperty (e.g., Usage Rights).

  4. In the right sidebar, click the + button in the Automations section.

  5. In the If section, select the triggering options (e.g., Internal use only) or choose any option from the dropdown if the automation should be triggered by all options.

  6. In the Then section, update the dropdown to the Advanced Right you want to set. Available options include:

    • Apply watermark on assets or Remove watermark from assets

    • Mark assets as archived or Unmark assets as archived

    • Mark assets as limited usage or Unmark assets as limited usage

  7. Click Create automation.
