Users & Storage (Cockpit Deprecation Notice)

Summary

The Users & Storage page (referred to as Cockpit in some portals) located under Settings > Advanced Settings > Users & Storage will be deprecated soon.

Storage reporting has permanently moved to Reporting > Analytics > Storage. Storage metrics are now part of Light Analytics, which is enabled by default for all Bynder portals at no cost. You can still view your current user seat limits on the legacy Cockpit page while the deprecation process completes.

Who?

  • Portal Administrators & Account Managers: Require access to monitor overall user seat limits and solution storage usage.

  • Required Permissions:

    • To view legacy user seat counts: View Users & Storage permission.

    • To view storage analytics: View Analytics or standard access to portal reporting.

Why?

We updated our storage reporting to provide centralized, real-time insights across all Bynder modules. By moving Storage analytics from Advanced Analytics into Light Analytics and turning it on for every portal by default, all administrators get instant visibility into storage consumption without requiring an upgraded license package.

How?

How to View Storage Usage (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your Bynder portal.

  2. Click Reporting in the top header menu.

  3. Select Analytics > Storage (or navigate directly to /b-analytics/storage).

  4. Review total storage consumption, including breakdowns by solution (Asset Bank, Asset Workflow), asset types, original files, and derivatives.

How to View Active User Seats (Legacy Page)

  1. Log in to your Bynder portal.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Users & Storage.

  3. View your total active user seats and remaining available licenses broken down by user type.

Note: A deprecation banner on this page will prompt you to visit Reporting > Analytics > Storage for all storage-related metrics.

How to Add User Seats or Storage

Adding user seats or storage capacity requires account configuration:

  1. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Bynder Support to request additional seats or storage space.

  2. Once provisioned by Bynder, your Portal Administrator can assign permissions and invite new users.
