AI Agents are designed to automate and optimize content tasks alongside the human touch for greater efficiency and management. Combining image recognition and large language models,  AI Agents can understand both visuals and context to perform complex workflows such as content enrichment, transformation, and governance.

Why?

Bynder's AI Agents extend your DAM capabilities, executing complex, multi-step content workflows with ease. Enrichment capabilities analyzes assets and generates metadata such as titles, descriptions, and tags to improve search-ability. Transformation capabilities modifies and repurposes assets using Generative AI, removing or replacing image backgrounds and resizing images for different channels. Governance capabilities scan for asset usage across the web to ensure compliance, identify outdated or off-brand assets, and even detects possibly unauthorized AI-generated content. Bynder's AI Agents free up Bynder users from doing time-consuming, boiler-plate tasks, allowing for maximum efficiency, and the human touch being used where it is most helpful. 

Understanding

The AI Control Center

The AI Control Center is the central hub for configuring and managing your AI Agents. Here you can Define Global AI Instructions by setting overarching guidelines for all AI agents, such as tone of voice, company-specific terminology, and necessary compliance phrases for generated content. As well users can Create New Agents with Prompts, create custom agents by describing the desired task in natural language. Bynder's AI agents use agentic capabilities (object recognition, text generation) as building blocks to fulfill requests. Furthermore, the Agent Library section allows users to review, edit instructions, and delete agents, ensuring the AI agents do only the work you assign, in the exact way you assign it. 

Transformation Agents

Bynder's Transformation agents use generative AI, allowing instant editing and repurposing of images within your DAM. Transformation agents assist with background removal, automatically making the background transparent, and background replacement, to remove the original background and generate a new, more suitable one. Users can also employ Transformation Agents by prompt, users can describe the desired background in text (e.g., "a beach at sunset"), or by using a reference image, users can choose an existing DAM image as the new asset background. Furthermore users can replace backgrounds with a solid color, by choosing a HEX code or RBG color as a background. Additionally, Transformation Agents are capable of intelligent image resizing, allowing users to resize images to new dimensions (pre-defined or custom) while preserving quality and important content.
 

Governance Agents

Governance AI Agents monitor and enforce proper usage of your assets by tracking their appearances across the internet. Governance Agents scan the internet for occurrences of the selected assets, using image recognition to find exact matches and modified versions (scaled, cropped, minor alterations). Governance Agents also identify public usage on search-engine-indexed websites, blogs, partner portals, online retailers, and popular social media sites. Governance Agents assists users in expiration and compliance, by discovering if outdated or expired assets are still in use online. They also help with brand consistency, by flagging instances of off-brand or unapproved asset use. Finally, Governance Agents assist in ROI tracking, by measuring how the assets are used across the web. 

Enrichment Agents

Enrichment AI Agents automate and improve the metadata for your assets, using advanced language models and computer vision to understand visual context and generate useful information. Enrichment Agents can automate metadata tagging, detecting details in images (e.g., product material, animal breed, sponsor logo) and assigning the appropriate tags or metadata values according to your taxonomy. They can also generate asset descriptions and titles, by writing descriptions for images, videos, or documents, including alt-text for accessibility. Lastly, Enrichment Agents assist in documenting and  media summarization. For text-heavy assets (PDFs, presentations, video transcripts) Enrichment Agents will extract key points and produce summaries. These summaries are editable to maintain correct brand voice, tone, and accuracy. 

Running The AI Agents

Once available, AI agents can be run on up to 1,000 assets per session. To do this, users select the relevant assets, click the AI button, choose the desired agent from the dropdown, and enter the required input. After starting the run, the agent works in the background, and a notification confirms it has begun. It prepares results for review without making direct changes to the assets. Users can continue working in Bynder while the agent runs.

Note: Agents do not run automatically on your entire library without consent.

Reviewing And Approving AI Output In The Activity Area

All AI generated suggestions are sent to the Agent Activity area for user review before any asset data is affected. This is a crucial part of Bynder's human-in-the-loop approach. In the Activity area, users will see a list of assets with pending AI suggestions. Selecting an asset typically shows a side-by-side comparison of the current content versus the AI's suggested new content. Users have full control to accept or reject each suggestion. Users can make decisions asset by asset or use bulk approval or rejection for batches of suggestions. Nothing changes in the library until the change is approved by the user, ensuring only reviewed, compliant content is published.

FAQs

How many assets per run of an agent are possible?

 Up to 1,000 assets can be processed at once.

What are the supported asset types?

 Images, videos, and  text-based documents. 

Note: Audio files are not supported including audio in videos. 

Do the agents use existing metadata information?

The system analyzes only visible content, i.e. pixels and text. It does not use existing metadata or EXIF data.

Can AI Agents assist with multilingual content?

AI Agents support generation in over 200 languages. For video, support for non-english text is limited and might be misinterpreted.

Can AI Agents identify people?

The system does not identify or name individuals in any media type. For this purpose, we recommend using Bynder’s Facial Recognition capabilities.

What do the AI Agents do with inappropriate content?

AI Agents Do not process media that violates Bynder's Acceptable Use Policy (e.g. explicit or violent content).

Can I use the AI Agents with healthcare?

AI Agents must not be used for medical decisions or interpreting diagnostic scans.
