In the Configuration tab of your Metaproperty Management you can make specific metaproperties required or change the order the metaproperties are displayed in Bynder.

On the Configuration page of Metaproperty Management you can find out which metaproperties are optional and which ones are required. By default metaproperties are optional and don't have to be filled in when uploading or editing assets. Required metaproperties do need to be filled in upon upload or when editing assets
When a metaproperty isn't required the Required switch is grayed out.

Go to
Settings > Taxonomy > Metaproperties management and click Configuration in the left sidebar.

Go to the metaproperty you want to make required and click the Required
. The switch will no longer be grayed out.

Users will now have to fill in this metaproperty when uploading and editing assets.
By default metaproperties are optional. If you set a metaproperty to required before follow the steps below to make it no longer required.
In the Configuration section of Metaproperty Management you can sort your metaproperties. The higher in the list the higher the metaproperty will show in the upload screen, edit screen and other screens in the portal.
Note
You can't change the order of metaproperty options as they're sorted alphabetically.

Go to
Settings > Taxonomy >Metaproperties management and click Configuration in the left sidebar.

Hover over the metaproperty for which you want to change the position.

Click and hold the
button of the metaproperty and drag and drop it to the desired position in the list.
In the Configuration section of Metaproperty Management you can sort your metaproperty options.
Note
You can only sort up to 100 metaproperty options.

Navigate to
Settings > Taxonomy> Metaproperties management and click Configuration in the left sidebar.

Click the Metaproperty with the options that you’d like to sort.

Select Settings in the right sidebar and click the
icon next to Options sorting.

By default, the options will be ordered Alphabetically. Click the dropdown under Sorting and select Custom.

Click and hold the
button of the metaproperty and drag and drop it to the desired position in the list.

Alternatively, click
to move the metaproperty option to the top of the list or the (bottom icon) to move it to the end.

The sort order will automatically save. Click X when you are finished.
Rather than custom sorting all your metaproperty options, you can pin certain metaproperties options to the top of the options list. This is helpful if you’d like certain metaproperty options to be displayed to your users first, such as for the most frequently used options. For example, if you have a list of languages, you might want to pin English to the top of the list, while the other languages are ordered alphabetically.

Navigate to
Settings > Taxonomy> Metaproperties management and click Configuration in the left sidebar.

Click the metaproperty with the options that you’d like to pin.

Select Settings in the right sidebar and click the
icon next to Options sorting.

Click Select Options and check the box next to the options that you’d like to pin to the top.
Note
You can only pin up to 10 options at the top of the list.

The
will appear next to the metaproperty options you selected.

Click Save

Navigate to
Settings > Taxonomy> Metaproperties management and click Configuration in the left sidebar.

Click the metaproperty option with the options that you’d like to unpin.

Select Settings in the right sidebar and click the
icon next to Options Sorting.

Click the X next to the metaproperty that you’d like unpin.
You can select options from a metaproperty that you want to set as read-only. Metaproperty options that have already been associated with assets are still visible in the DAM, however, by adding the metaproperty option to the read-only list you prevent users from selecting this metaproperty to any new or existing assets.

Navigate to
Settings > Taxonomy> Metaproperties management and click Configuration in the left sidebar.

Click the Metaproperty you would like to set as read only.

Select Settings in the right sidebar.

Click on Read Only Options.

Search and select from the associated metapropety options. Users will not be able to tag assets with these options.
