Digital Brand Templates help you to create visual documents based on a template. Because these templates have a predefined layout, behavior and style, you can immediately start creating your visual artwork without having to start from scratch. Go to the Digital Brand Templates section of your portal.

On the campaign overview page, click the campaign you want to create a document for.

Click the New document button. A screen with available documents will open.

Find the document you want to create and click its thumbnail. The editor will open.
Note
By default the documents of all channels are available. Click a channel in the left sidebar to filter the documents by channel.

(Optional) When creating a document with multiple artboards inside click the dropdown in the top of the left sidebar to select the artboard you want to create a document for. The artboard will be placed in the center of your screen.

Use the sidebars and editor to design your document.

Once your document is ready click the button in the bottom of the editor to preview your document. Check if all text and visual elements are correct and click the button to close the preview mode and to proceed or make any necessary changes in the document.
Note
The preview file may slightly differ from the actual output file. The preview is generated in your browser using code, which differs from the technologies used for creating imagery files. Small differences are therefore unavoidable.

(Optional) If necessary, click Request approval to send your document for approval and wait for it to be approved. An email notification will be sent to the approvers. Read more about the approval process here.

Click the Export artboard(s) button to download the artboards, to send them to the Waiting Room or to save them to the Asset Bank.

Depending on the setup of your one or more of the following options will be available under Destination:
Download files
Select this option if you want to download your artboard(s) and use the Format dropdown to choose the desired file format for the output files.
Assetbank
Select this option to export your artboard(s) to the Asset Bank.
Waiting Room
Select this option to export your artboard(s) to the Waiting Room, where an administrator can have a look at your files before adding them to the Asset Bank.

(Optional) When exporting a document with multiple artboards you can decide which artboards you want to include in the export. By default, all artboards are selected. Untick the artboard(s) that you don't want to include.

(Optional) The artboard names will serve as (file)name for the artboards you export. By hovering over the name of the artboard and clicking the icon you can change the name of your artboard for this export only. Enter a new name and click the Save button.
Note
This will not permanently change the artboard name. You can permanently change the name in the editor.
In the topbar you can find the status of your document. In the left sidebar you will see all the elements (layers) that are part of the document. The right Text or Image sidebar lists all the available properties for the selected layer.
When creating a document with multiple artboards inside click the dropdown in the top of the left sidebar to select the artboard you want to create a document for. The artboard will be placed in the center of your screen.
Linked layers are indicated by the icon in the left sidebar. Also, when you click a layer the Linking status in the right sidebar will tell you whether linking is On or Off.
Layers can be hidden or shown. Visible layers are indicated by the icon in the left sidebar. Layers that are hidden are indicated by the icon. Depending on the setup of the template you can show or hide layers by selecting the layer in the left sidebar and clicking the Show or Hide button in the right sidebar.
Note
Locked layers indicated by the icon cannot be modified.
Document name
The name of your document can be found in the topbar. Click the name to change it and press Enter to save the changes. When exporting multiple artboard documents the document name will be used as the name for the ZIP file that includes the exported artboards.
In the editor the name of an artboard can be found above the artboard. Click the artboard and change the name in the Artboard name field in the right sidebar.
If applicable you can change the background color of your document to one of the other available background colors.

Click the topbar.

Select one of the available colors in the Background color section.
Note
If you're working in a document with multiple artboards the background color will be automatically applied to all the linked artboards.
Note
Customizing the font and/or font color may not be available in your document or for some text layers in particular.

Click the text layer you want to customize.

Remove the default text and enter your desired text. When working in multiple artboard documents the text you enter in a linked text layer will be copied to all linked text layers.
Tip
Enable your browser's built-in spell checker to automatically check for misspelled and unrecognized words.

(Optional) Change the font and/or font color by selecting one of the available fonts and colors in the right sidebar. When working in multiple artboard documents the font and/or text color you select in a text layer will be copied to all linked text layers.
Tip
Do you only want style specific letters or words?
You can change the font on an individual character basis. For example, if you only want to make specific letters and/or words bold or italic.
Select the specific text you want to change and use the right sidebar to set your preferred font and style.
Customize images

Click the image layer you want to customize.

Click the Change image button to replace the image or alternatively click the small image icon in the floating bar below the visual to replace the image.

Depending on the setup of the template you can either upload your own image by clicking Upload image. Click Choose from assets to select an image from the Asset Bank. You can then use the Compact View to search or filter for an image in the portal you want to add.
Note

You can only add JPG and PNG files to a document in Digital Brand Templates.
Even though you can upload or add other file types such as TIFF or EPS via the Compact View, those file types can't be used within Digital Brand Templates.
Select one of the available PNG/JPG derivatives in the Compact View instead.

To ensure high quality make sure the image asset is marked as public when choosing an asset from the Asset Bank. This will make sure that the original image is used in your Digital Brand Template document and not one of the lower quality derivatives.
Contact your portal administrator if you're not sure whether the image is marked as public.

Select the image and click Add asset. When working in multiple artboard documents the image you add in a linked image layer will be reflected in all linked image layers. You can still customize the position and scale for each image individually.

Click the image and select the scaling mode for the image.
Fill
This mode will completely fill the image layer with your image. This may result in some parts of your visual fall outside the image frame.
Fit
This mode will ensure your image is fully visible within the image frame. This may result in some white empty spaces around your photo.

(Optional) Resize the image using the sizing handles.

(Optional) Click and drag the image to the desired position within the designated image frame.
Once your document is ready you can save or download it. You may have to send it for approval first before you can save or download the document.

Once your document is ready click the button in the bottom of the editor to preview your document. Check if all text and visual elements are correct and click the button to close the preview mode and to proceed or make any necessary changes in the document.

(Optional) Click Request approval to send your document for approval and wait for it to be audited. An email notification will be sent to the approvers. Once approved or when changes are necessary you will receive an email notification. Contact the approver(s) if you have any questions about why your document was not approved. Read more about the approval process here.

Click the Save as button to save the template as JPG or PNG or click the Download button to download the document as JPG or PNG.

Click the Export artboard(s) button to download the artboards, to send them to the Waiting Room or to save them to the Asset Bank.

Tip
Do you only want to see your own created documents?
By default, you see all created documents. Click the Created by anyone filter in the top right corner and select Created by me to only view the documents you created. The filter will remain active until you log out of the portal.
Duplicate documents

Make sure you're on the Documents overview page.

Hover over the document you want to download and click the icon.

Click Export Artboards and select one of the available output formats to download the document.

Delete documents

Make sure you're on the Documents overview page.

Hover over the document you want to remove and click the icon.

Click the Delete document button and read the warning message carefully.

Click the Delete document button to permanently remove the document.
