Bynder Analytics allows you to easily keep up-to-date with what is happening in your portal. The dashboards give you a quick and easy overview of the portal's traffic and usage. Bynder Analytics comes in three versions. Our Light module is available to all our clients and offers two dashboards. The Standard and Advanced versions come with more folders offering various dashboards with more detailed insights. Read more about Bynder Analytics below.

Bynder Analytics Light
Bynder Analytics Light comes with two dashboards that give you a general overview of the status of your portal as well as basic insights into the usage of the portal.
Account information
This dashboard gives you a quick overview of the assets, asset types, storage per asset type and the total amount of users, transfers and workflow jobs.
Total Storage (GB)
The total amount of gigabytes used for storage. This calculation is based on the storage used for active media in the Asset Library (including derivatives), as well as the storage used for the Workflow (including asset previews) and Bynder Express transfers. Expired and revoked transfers are not taken into account in this calculation.
Assets by Type (GB)
A breakdown of the asset types used in the portal. The media type is automatically captured by Bynder upon upload, with the four following classification types: audio, document, image and video.
Storage by Type (GB)
A breakdown of the storage used per asset type in the portal. The media type is automatically captured by Bynder upon upload, with the four following classification types: audio, document, image and video.
Users
The total amount of all users in the portal. This includes both active as well as deactivated users.
Transfers
The Transfers metric indicates the total amount of transfers via Bynder Express and the Transfers Storage (GB) shows you the total amount of gigabytes used for storing the Bynder Express transfers. Expired and revoked transfers are not taken into account in this calculation.
Workflow
The Workflow metric indicates the total amount of active Creative Workflow jobs and the Workflow Storage (GB) shows you the total amount of gigabytes used for storage in the Workflow. This calculation is based on the of amount storage used for all active jobs as well as the storage used for Workflow previews.

Usage
On this dashboard you will find several graphs that give you more insights into the usage of the portal. Select the time frame you want to look at in the right side bar or click on one of the markers in a line graph to filter on that specific month.
Views vs. Downloads
This graph shows the total number of asset views and downloaded files for a specific time period.
Note
Each file that is included in a download counts as a separate download.
An asset always hosts the original file but often also has derivatives available. When users click the Download all files button each file that is included in the download will be counted as a separate download.
For example, if for an image asset two derivatives are available and the user clicks the Download all files button this will be counted as 3 downloads (1 original file + 2 derivatives).
Uploads vs. Deletions
This graph shows the total number of uploaded and deleted files for a specific time period.
Archives vs. Shares
This graph shows the total number of files that were archived or shared within a specific time period.
Created vs. Logins
This graph shows the total number of created users and logins within a specific time frame.
Guidelines
This metric shows you the total number of page views and page shares in Brand Guidelines 1.0.

Keyword Searches
This graph will show you the total amount of keyword searches for a specific time period.
Workflow Jobs
In the 'Workflow Jobs Created vs. Completed' graph the Jobs Created metric will show you the total amount of Creative Workflow jobs that were created within the selected period. The completed metric will show you the total amount of Creative Workflow jobs that were created within the selected time period.

Account Information Dashboard
Gather insights about main metrics regarding your portal via the ‘account information’ dashboard. Get a quick overview of assets by type, storage per asset-type and the total amount of users, transfers and workflow jobs
Total Storage (GB)
The total amount of gigabytes used for storage. This calculation is based on the storage used for active media in the Asset Library (including derivatives), as well as the storage used for the Workflow (including asset previews) and Bynder Express transfers. Usage Dashboard
Make your data more useful by comparing them in the ‘usage’ dashboard. You can also see activity over time by selecting a ‘time frame’, or ‘click for details’ to drill down deeper in your statistics.
Views

Asset bank
Have you ever wondered how many derivatives there are or how many of your assets are archived? The overview screen gives you insights into these metrics and shows you a general status overview of your assets.
Overview
Asset Bank Count
This graph shows the total number of assets stored in the portal broken down by whether they are published in the Asset Library or still in the waiting room. The metric awaiting approval shows the number of assets that is awaiting approval in the waiting room. The metric rejected shows the number of assets that was not approved. You can find more information about auditing assets here.
Note
The total number of visible assets in your asset bank can be lower than the "total assets" metric, since the assets that are pending approval will only become visible in the asset bank after approval.
Asset by Type
This graph gives a breakdown of the file types used in the portal.
Asset by extension
This graph gives a breakdown of the file extensions used in the portal.
Versioning
This pie chart gives you insights into what percentage of the assets have multiple versions and what percentage only has one version.

By Taxonomy
Use the dropdown menu on the top right to select the metaproperty for which you want to see the taxonomy insights.
Assets by Categorization
This pie chart shows you the number of assets per metaproperty option for the metaproperty you selected. Hovering over a specific segment shows the exact number of assets that are tagged with the metaproperty option. The table gives you more insights into the number of assets per metaproperty option. In the table next to the graph you can click on the numeric values. This will open a popup, which shows you the files that were tagged with the metaproperty option you clicked on.
Asset Downloads
This graph shows the number of downloaded files specified for each metaproperty option. The number of downloaded files is not unique. When a file is downloaded multiple times this will be considered as a new download. Derivatives are counted as separate downloads as well. If a user downloads an original file together with three of its derivatives, this will count as 4 downloads. Hovering over a specific bar shows the exact number of views.
The table gives you more insights into the number of downloads per metaproperty option. In the table next to the graph you can click on the numeric values. This will open a popup, which shows you the downloaded files that were tagged with the metaproperty option you clicked on.
Asset Views

Media scheduled for archive
This dashboard will give an overview of how many assets will be archived in the upcoming 30 days, between 30 and 60 days, between 60 and 90 days and how many assets are scheduled to be archived after 90 days or more.
Tip
Click on a number to see the name of the files that are scheduled to be archived and to see the actual archive date.
Collections
Are you looking for more insights into the number of created collections and whether the shared collections are actually viewed? This dashboard will then give you the data you need.
Total collections
This metric indicates the number of created collections.
Assets in collections
This metric shows how many unique assets are placed in collections.
Collections shared
This metric shows the number of shared collections and how many of these are still active. An active collection is a collection of which the share start date has already started and of which the end date hasn't expired yet.
Collection Views
This graph shows how many times collections have been viewed. You can see the total collection views based on a time period. You can filter for a specific collection to see the views in that time period and sort from the highest (or lowest) viewed collections.
Active shares with recipients
This metric indicates how many people received a collection which hasn't expired yet. This means that the configured start date has already started and that the configured end date hasn't expired yet. This includes both internal as well as external users.
Note
The number of users is not unique. If collection is shared with the same user twice this will be counted as an extra recipient.
Share access
This graph shows the number of shares, broken down by whether users were required to login or not.
Shared collections viewed
This graph shows whether the shared collections were viewed or not.

This table shows you the keyword searches that led to no results. In the Search keywords column you will see the actual keyword and in the Count column how often this keyword was used.
Note
This data may include keywords that return results when you only use the search bar.
When users first narrow down the number of assets by using metaproperty filters and then perform a keyword search, this may lead to no results. In that case, the keyword is also available as a search keyword with no results in Bynder Analytics. This indexation can't be disabled.
Storage
This dashboard gives you an overview of the storage used in the portal broken down by per module.
Storage overview
The Total storage metric on the right shows you the total amount of storage used. In the chart on the left you can find an overview of the total storage that was used over time. The pie chart 'Total Storage by Module' gives a breakdown of the storage used by each module. All values are shown in gigabytes.
Asset bank
The Asset Bank Storage metric on the right shows you the total amount of storage used in the Asset Bank. In the chart on the left you can find an overview of the total Asset Bank storage that was used over time.
The pie chart Asset Bank Storage by Original vs Derivatives gives a breakdown of the amount of storage that is taken by the original files and the derivatives. The other pie chart 'Asset Bank Storage per media type' shows you how much storage is used per media type.
Transfers
The Transfer storage metric on the right shows you the total amount of space used for storing transfers. Expired and revoked transfers are not taken into account in this calculation. In the chart on the left you can find an overview of the transfer storage that was used over time.
Workflow
The Workflow storage metric on the right shows you the total amount of workflow space used. In the chart on the left you can find an overview of the workflow storage that was used over time.
Users can upload assets to the workflow manually. Another way to add assets to the workflow is by importing them from the asset bank or by creating and adding them via our POD module. In the pie chart "Workflow Storage by Source" you can find out how much storage each storage type takes up.
Transfers
Total transfers
This metric shows the total number of shares via File Transfer.
Email recipients
This metric indicates how many people received a share via File Transfer.
Source
Our File Transfer tool can send the files directly to an email address, but it is also possible to create a share link. This pie chart gives you a breakdown on the type of transfer used.

Overview
Total users
This metric shows the total amount of users in the portal.
Active users
This metric shows the total amount of active users.
User status
This chart shows the percentage of the user accounts that are activated and deactivated. Hovering over a segment shows the exact number of users.
Permission profile
This chart shows the active users grouped by permission profile. Hovering over a segment shows more details for that specific permission profile.
User Group
This chart shows the users grouped by user groups. Hovering over a segment shows more details for that specific user group. The value 'N\A' indicates the percentage of users who are not in a user group.
Login heatmap
The login heatmap allows you to easily see on which days the most users login. Hovering over a specific day shows you the number of logins.
Logins By Permission Profile
This graph shows the number of logins broken down by permission profile. Hovering over a specific bar shows the exact number of logins.
Logins by User Groups
This graph shows the number of logins broken down by user group. Hovering over a specific bar shows the exact number of logins. The value 'N\A' indicates the percentage of users who are not in a user group.
Workflow
Jobs
Total jobs
This metric indicates the total number of jobs. This is an accumulation of active, completed, canceled and removed jobs.
Active jobs
This metric shows the number of jobs that are currently active in the workflow.
Completed jobs
This metric shows the number of jobs that were completed in the workflow.
Overdue jobs
This metric shows the number of jobs that passed their deadline in the workflow.
Canceled jobs
This metric shows the number of jobs that were canceled in the workflow.
Removed jobs
This metric shows the number of jobs that were deleted in the workflow.
Jobs Created vs Completed by Month
This graph shows the jobs that were created in the workflow within the (pre)selected timeframe.
Running total jobs
This graph shows all jobs except from the removed ones within the (pre)selected timeframe
Campaigns
This section gives you insights into the status of the campaigns. The table below the metrics shows more detailed information for each campaign
Total campaigns
This metric shows the total number of campaigns. This includes both active as well as closed campaigns.
Active campaigns
This metric shows the number of active campaigns
Closed campaigns
This metric shows the number of closed campaigns
Presets
This section gives you insights into the status of the preset. The table below the metrics shows more detailed information for each preset.
Total presets
This metric shows the total number of presets. This includes both active as well as closed campaigns.
Active presets
This metric shows the number of active presets.
Closed campaigns
This metric shows the number of closed presets.
Booked time per job
The table lists how much time users booked for a job.
Filters
When you are looking for more detailed or drilled down information, you can easily apply filters. Filters allow you to narrow down your search to include only the metrics you need for the time period you are looking for. There are several ways to apply a filter.
Ways to filter
Pie chart
By clicking on one of the slices of a pie chart, the value will be applied as a filter and will be visible in the right sidebar of the dashboard. All analytics available on the active dashboard will be filtered by the selected value.
Line Graph
By clicking on one of the markers of a line graph the time stamp will be applied as a filter. All analytics available on the active dashboard will be filtered by the selected value.
Filter bar
The Filters bar is available on the right side of the dashboard and allows you to customize the applied filters. By hovering the mouse over the top right corner of a filter box an edit icon will appear. Click on this pencil icon to open the popup for adjusting your filter. Depending on the dashboard and the type of filter several tabs will be available.

List
This metric allows you to select a value from predetermined lists, such as specific years, months or weeks.

Calendar
This metric allows you to set up a custom date range as filter. Select the desired From and To date in this tab and click on 'OK' to filter on your custom date range.

This metric allows you to select a value from predetermined lists, such as specific years, months or weeks.
Enabling and disabling filters
In case you want to leave out a filter for a while or put it back on, you can easily do this by clicking on the filter switch. First make sure the filter sidebar is expanded. You can open this sidebar by clicking on the toggle that is located on the center-right side of the screen. Hover over the image below for an animation showing how the filter sidebar can be toggled.
By clicking on the filter switch the filter box will grey out and will no longer be applied. Click on the switch again to put it back on.
Reset filters
If you no longer want to have your custom filters applied, you can click on the refresh icon at the top of the filter bar to reset the filters to the default filter setup.
Save filter setup
Did you customize your filters and do you want to have this setup enabled by default? You can save your customized filters and make it your default setup.
To do this click on the menu icon at the top of the filter sidebar and click on Set as my default filters.
Reports
Do you want to share your insights with others with easy to understand reports? In Bynder Analytics you can generate those reports within a few clicks. There are several report types available.
Overview report
For each dashboard or detail view you can generate an overview report, which is a PNG or PDF file with a full representation of the dashboard.

Click on the icon of the options menu
in the title bar of the dashboard or detail view.

Click on Download and select Download PDF.

You will be presented with a settings popup. In the left sidebar you can configure the paper size, orientation, header and footer.

Click on Save to save the report or on the download button to download your PDF report

If you choose for a PNG report you will be presented with a settings popup, in which you can choose the output size for the image and the data that needs to be displayed.

Click on the icon of the options menu
in the title bar of the dashboard or detail view.

Click on Download and select Download Image.

You will be presented with a settings popup, in which you can choose the output size for the image and the data that needs to be displayed in the report.

Click on the Download button to download your PNG report.
Data specific reports
For each individual graph or numeric metric you can generate a report, which is a PNG or CSV file with a full representation of the data.
PNG

Hover with your mouse over the right top corner of the graph or metric value, for which you want to generate the PNG report.

Click on the icon of the options menu
that will appear.

Click on Download and select Image and your report will be downloaded.
CSV

Hover with your mouse over the right top corner of the graph or metric value, for which you want to generate the CSV report.

Click on the icon of the options menu that will appear.

Click on Download and select CSV file and your report will be downloaded.
