Add and Manage Chapters in a Guide

In the Guide solution, you can organize content by creating chapters that contain individual pages. Chapters serve as main categories to structure your pages effectively.

By default, all users with access to the guide can view its chapters. However, you can customize chapter permissions to set different access levels from the parent guide. 

 

How to a Add Chapter to a Guide

  1. Create a new Guide or select an existing one.
  2. In the left sidebar select +Add chapter and enter a Chapter title.

  3. Click Create.
  4. You can begin adding pages within the chapter. 
 

How to Edit the Chapter Title

  1. Double-click the chapter title to enable in-line editing, and rename the chapter.

     

  2. Click out of the chapter title and it will automatically save your changes.
 

How to Move a Chapter

  1. Select the chapter you want to move.  
  2. Hold the chapter drag to your desired location and release it. 

How to Delete Chapters

Warning: If you delete a chapter, all nested pages and their content will also be removed. A deleted chapter or its content cannot be restored. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

  1. Hover over the chapter you want to delete.
  2.  Select  uuid-7db21885-08cc-89a1-bbc2-b29fe8ed5d92.png >Delete chapter.

  3. Review the message and then click Delete Chapter.
