Custom Thumbnails

Please contact Support to enable this feature in your portal. 

You can customize an Asset's thumbnail by uploading your own. You can upload a custom thumbnail to the following asset types: 

  • Images: jpg, png, bmp, tif, gif, ai, psd, indd

  • Video: mp4, mov, avi, 3gp, m4v, wmv

  • Audio: mp3, m4a

  • ZIP files

  • Other formats: XML, doc, ppt, xlsm

  • Password Protected assets

Add a custom thumbnail

  1. Navigate to Assets.

  2. Select the file you would like to edit thumbnail.
  3. Click Screenshot 2023-10-19 at 10.28.48 AM.png and scroll down to Custom thumbnail Screenshot 2023-10-19 at 10.29.18 AM.png

  4. Clickand select a file from your Desktop.

  5. Click Save.
    • It may take a few seconds to regenerate a new thumbnail. You may have to refresh the page. 

Delete a custom thumbnail

  1. Navigate to Assets.

  2. Select the file you would like to edit thumbnail.
  3. Click Screenshot 2023-10-19 at 10.28.48 AM.png and scroll down to Custom thumbnail Screenshot 2023-10-19 at 10.29.18 AM.png

  4. Click Screenshot 2023-10-19 at 10.32.13 AM.png and remove the custom thumbnail

Additional Information

  • Cropping and setting the focus point are not available for custom thumbnails.

  • When you update a version of an asset with a custom thumbnail, you must also update the thumbnail.

  • All derivatives are created from the original image.
