Add a Custom Thumbnails to Asset Bank

If an asset type does not support a thumbnail preview or if you would simply just like to customize an Asset's thumbnail by uploading your own you can upload a custom thumbnail to the following asset types: 

Who can add a custom thumbnail?

Users with the following permissions can:

• Edit Assets
  

Add a Custom Thumbnail

1. Navigate to Assets.

2. Select the file in which you would like to edit the thumbnail.

3. Click and scroll down to the Custom thumbnail

4. Click + and select a file from your Desktop.

5. Click Save.
   • It may take a few seconds to regenerate a new thumbnail. You may have to refresh the page. 

Delete a Custom Thumbnail

1. Navigate to Assets.

2. Select the file in which you would like to edit the thumbnail.

3. Click and scroll down to the Custom thumbnail

4. Click and remove the custom thumbnail

 

Additional Information

• Cropping and setting the focus point are not available for custom thumbnails.

• When you update a version of an asset with a custom thumbnail, you must also update the thumbnail.

• All derivatives are created from the original image.
