If you accidentally delete assets, metaproperties, or metaproperty options, you can restore them as long as you do so before 30 days.
Who can restore assets, metaproperties, and metaproperty options?
Users with the following rights can restore these items respectively:
- Restore removed assets
- Restore removed metaproperties
- Restore removed metaproperty options
Restore Deleted Files and Metaproperties
If an account has multiple portals, you must follow the below steps for every portal separately to see deleted files.
- Navigate to your Portal.
- Click Settings> Advanced Settings > Trash.
- In the left sidebar, select from the options Assets, Metaproperties, or Metaproperty options.
- You can filter by Removed by and type in the user name to see which files that individual deleted.
- Select the item you would like to restore and click
- The files are restored to the Asset Bank or the Waiting Room with all the linked Metadata, permissions, additional files, and derivatives and if there are any DAT associated with the asset.
- They will also re-appear in search results, and if they were included in a Collection, they will be restored to the appropriate Collection.
- Metaproperties and options return to the state they were in before they were deleted.
- All related permission settings, language labels, and metaproperty images are restored.
- Restoring the deleted options of other deleted metaproperty options does not bring back the main metaproperties.
- DAT links will automatically repopulate
Additional Information
- Files deleted more than 30 days ago cannot be restored.
- You cannot restore the triggers and metaproperty dependencies set up for metaproperty options.
- You cannot restore files deleted from Asset Workflow or Asset Workflow metaproperties.
- It may take a couple of minutes to restore a DAT link associated with an asset.
- The portal trash cannot be emptied.
Restore Asset Workflow Assets and Metadata
Contact your Customer Success Manager if you want to restore Asset Workflow assets or Asset Workflow metaproperties that have been removed.
