Get Started with Guides

Before creating your first Guide we encourage you to set up your brand colors and typography in theme sets. In addition it is important to set up the permissions around what users can do in CX for User Community.

Create a Guide

  1. Navigate to your Bynder Portal.
  2. Select CX for User Community this may appear under a different name) 
  3. Select Guides.

  4. Click New guide located in the top right corner. to create your first guide.
  5. Enter a title for your new guide and click Create.

  6. An ‘Untitled’ chapter with an ‘Untitled’ page will be pre-created so that you can immediately start adding content to the first page. Double-click on the chapter/page title to rename it.

  7. You can create more chapters by clicking + Add Chapter in the sidebar. Learn more about chapters.

  8. To add a page to a chapter, click + next to the chapter's title, then enter a title for your page, select from the template options to save time, and name the page.

  9. Select Create once you have made your selection.
  10. Click anywhere in the section or select to update the section setting. 

    • The section settings allow you to update the background color, layout, size, padding, widget alignment, and spacing
  11. Click add_content2.jpgon the section and select one of the available widgets (images, videos, text, etc).
  12. Once you've added the widgets you can publish the page by selecting Publish.

    • Once you have published the page the Draft icon will disappear. 

  13. Select View to preview your Guide.
  14. Once you are ready to share you can chapters and pages of your Guide.
