Do you want to quickly start off with Brand Guidelines? Take a look at our Quick Start Guide below and start creating your Brand Guidelines.
Go to your Brand Guidelines and click the icon in the top right corner of the overview page to set up your brand colors. Read more about it here.
Click the + Create guide icon to create your first guide.
Enter a title for your new guide and click Create.
Set up the guide visibility by clicking the icon in the top bar and click Guide visibility. Select the users who can see the guide and click Save. Read more about guide visibility here.
Click Create new chapter to create a new chapter, enter a name and click Create. If necessary, repeat this step to create additional chapters.
To add a page to a chapter, click Add page below the chapter's title. If necessary, repeat this step to add additional pages to your chapter(s).
Enter a title for your page and click Create.
Hover over the page right below the page title and click the icon to add a new section. A new section with a widget picker will appear on your page.
By default, the section makes use of one column. To better divide your content, you can also make use of different column layouts. Hover over the section, open the 1 column dropdown and click one of the alternative layouts.
Click the icon inside the section and select one of the available available widgets.
Click the icon if you want to add a title to your page. A new title field will appear where you can enter your text. Titles are limited to 255 characters.
Text = Click the icon if you want to add a text field to your page. Write and manage your content in the text editor. Use the available options in the WYSIWYG editor to format or color your text. The text widget is limited to 4000 characters.
Click the button in the editor to create a link. Enter the display text in the Link Title field and enter the URL in the Link Target field. Enter mailto followed by the email address in the Link Target field if you want to link to an email address. For example: mailto:email@example.com
Media = Click the icon to add an image, document or other file type. A placeholder will appear. Click the icon in the placeholder and the compact view will open. Filter or search for the asset you need and select it. Open the dropdown at the bottom of the Compact View and select whether you want to use the original asset or one of the available derivatives. Click Add media to add your asset.
You can only select Original if the asset is marked as public.
Color palette = Click the if you want to add a color palette to your page. A placeholder will appear. Click the + icon in the placeholder to add the first color. Enter the name for your color in the Color name field.
Enter the desired color code in one of the available default color mode fields. Optionally, you can click the + icon to add other colors.
Video = Click the icon to add a video to your page. A placeholder will appear. Click the icon in the placeholder and the Compact View will open. Filter or search for the video you need, select it and click Add media.
Collection = Click the icon to embed a collection. You will see an overview with collections you can embed. You can use the search bar at the top of the popup to find the collection you're looking for. Hover over the collection you want to select and tick the button. Click Add collection to add the embedded collection.
By default, 4 asset thumbnails are shown in the collection widget. Hover over the collection widget and click the icon to select a different number of thumbnails to display.
Audio = Click the icon to add audio to your page. Read more about audio widgets here.
Table = Click the icon to add a table to your page. Read more about table widgets here.
(Optional) To preview your page toggle the Preview switch in the top right corner of the screen. Toggle again to go back to the editing mode.
Click the Publish page button in the right top corner to publish your page.
Create empty guides and widgets to build the structure of your guidelines. Your colleagues responsible for the content then only have to fill in the missing content and publish the page.
