The Access to Bynder Express permission allows user profiles to use Bynder Express. To be able to configure Bynder Express users need the manage portal settings permission.
How to Configure Bynder Express Settings
- Navigate to Portal Settings > Bynder Express. This will open the Bynder Express configuration options, where you can customize settings related to file sharing and expiry dates.
-
You will have the option to set a specific expiration period for assets shared via Bynder Express. Available options typically include: (1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month, Never).
-
At least one expiry duration must always be enabled, as it dictates how long shared files will remain available for download.
-
We recommend avoiding the "Never" expiry setting. Allowing this would let users set files never to expire, causing them to take up storage space indefinitely. Once the link expires, the file will no longer count toward your storage allocation.
-
- Choose which file-sharing method (Email or Link) you want to enable for Bynder Express.
- At least one sharing method must be enabled to provide users with a way to share files.
- Once you've configured your preferences, click Save Changes. These adjustments will be reflected when users access Bynder Express within their portals.
