Use your Content Workflow account to help with the production of multi-lingual content. You can use multiple tabs as part of your item structures to house multi-lingual content in the same item. Alternatively, you can use multiple projects to separate content by language.
Who can create and manage multi-lingual content?
Using Tabs
If you want to create content in multiple languages while keeping everything organized, using multiple tabs in the item's structure can be a great solution. You can learn how to add tabs to your structure here.
- Navigate to the Structure Editor.
- Use the first tab for your primary language.
- Select +New Tab to add a tab for each language in which you want the content to be written.
This setup allows your team to incorporate secondary languages into the same item within Content Workflow. Plus, since each tab maintains the same layout, it is simple for everyone to know where things should go on the page.
Using projects
Using tabs to separate multi-lingual content doesn't work for everyone, especially if you want to translate your content into a right-to-left language. Entire projects can also be used to do this. The advantage of using projects to separate and create your multi-lingual content lies in your ability to duplicate all of your project's content into a new project ready for translation.
- Navigate to the Projects View
- Find the tile corresponding to the project you want to duplicate.
- Click the 3-Dots Menu in the bottom right-hand corner of the project tile and select Duplicate.
- Name the project and hit Duplicate
- The duplicated project will populate with all items, structures, templates, and content.
- You're now ready to translate each field as needed.
- You can leverage our AI Assist tool to expedite this process. To learn more about this feature, check out this guide.
