Configure Date Metaproperties in Smartfilter

You can use smart filters to filter assets by their date-type metaproperty such as an asset’s "Copyright End Date," "Expiration Date," or "License Start Date." This can help enforce rights management and track terms of use, making it easy to manage assets with usage rights that are starting or expiring, such as event dates or photoshoot dates. Once configured, users can locate assets for a single date or a defined period.

You can add additional metaproperty types to your smart filter.

FAQ

How is this different than searching via an advanced filter using the date filter?
The Advanced Date filter shows only the date an asset was Added by or Published, not for any specific Date-type metaproperties.

Can I set this up with more than one metaproperty?
It can be used in a Smart Filter with just one metaproperty or multiple. In the case of multiple metaproperties, it can be combined with any other smart filter type.

Can I use a Date Filter in Direct Links or Saved Filters?
This functionality is not available currently. However, we’d love to hear your feedback! If you’d like to see this use case supported, please share your thoughts here.
