With Custom Actions it is possible to skip stages in a workflow job.

And we can set these for every stage, going forward and backward in the workflow. So not only from Stage 1 to Stage 3, but also from Stage 5 to Stage 2 etc.

 

How do you set this up?

Go to Settings > Workflow > Preset management > Job and select the preset where you want to add this feature. 

Skipping a stage can set this per individual stage. Go to the stage and click on the button Use custom actions:

 

Here you can manage the custom actions: Select the stage the custom action will direct to, define the label that describes the action and pick the color of the button.

See the following example for going from Stage 5 to Stage 3:

 

The end result will look like this:

 

*IMPORTANT NOTE: When you create one custom action, the normal ‘Send to the next stage’ and ‘Send to the previous stage’ buttons will disappear in that stage.

So make sure to also create the another button when setting up Custom Actions like here:
