How do I set up custom triggers for metaproperties?

Follow Print

Usecase: a user uploads an asset and selects all the proper filters. One of the filters is called "Terms of Use" and that has 3 options:

1) FREE FOR USE – CREDIT REQUIRED:
A notification (pop-up) that the copyright owner must be mentioned when using the asset.

2) NOT FREE FOR USE – AT REQUEST:
Asset will be Watermarked. So user needs to request access to download the asset

3) USE FORBIDDEN:
Asset will be Watermarked and not available to download.

So what the client actually wanted was a direct action (which normally has to be set up in e.g. Advanced) based on a metaproperty value. And we created that for them!

How do you set this up?

Go to the metaproperty value you would like to trigger (in this example we use Option 3: Copyright > Use Forbidden) and select "dependencies".

On this page you see a new option called Custom Triggers:

So if the metaproperty value Copyright > Use Forbidden is chosen, then the target downloadable will be deselected.

And if the metaproperty value Copyright > Not Free For Use is chosen, then the target watermark will be selected.
