How do I switch between different versions of an asset in CPM?

How can I keep track and compare versions in Creative Project Management?

Thanks to all its annotation features [LINK TO ANNOTATIONS ARTICLE] and comment boxes, the Creative Project Management tool can be very useful - especially for approval processes. Bynder keeps track of the different uploaded versions.

When a requester uploads his/her project, and the approver makes comments, the requester will work on a new version which will be uploaded in the Creative Project Management tool Job.

Depending on the approval type, assets can easily grow to four or more versions.

But how can you keep track of the previous versions, when new versions have been uploaded?

And how can you easily compare them with each other?

Where can I find the different versions?

1. Open the job with the different versions.

2. Within the Job of your asset upload, click on the asset with the multiple versions (you can see the number of versions in the right bottom corner of the asset’s thumbnail).

This will bring you to the detail page of the asset.

In the top left corner of the asset view you find a dropdown menu in which you can select the version you wish to see. By default, the latest version is selected.

3. Choose the version you would like to see and the image below will immediately change to the selected version. Comments made to older versions are also shown again.

Bynder also offers a tool to compare different versions with each other.

4. Open the job with the different versions

5. Within the Job of your asset upload, click on the asset with the multiple versions (you can see the number of versions in the right bottom corner of the asset’s thumbnail). This will bring you to the detail page of the asset.

In the top left corner of the screen you find two dropdown menus next to each other. In the first menu you can select the version you would like to see, as described above.

In the second menu, you can select the version you want to compare to the current version.

6. Choose the version you would like to compare with. When you have selected your preferred option in the dropdown, the image will be shown next to the image of the version you selected in the first dropdown.
