Permissions in Asset Bank

Below is the list of permissions you can assign for Asset, Asset Management, Brand, Collections, Content Customization, Homepage, Preset, Reporting, Sharing, System Admin, Taxonomy, Users and Permissions, and Waiting Room. Heavy, Regular, and Light Users define these.

All of these can be added to certain Permission Groups created in the Permissions Management section of your portal.

Bynder has a default set of rights that define these permission types' capabilities. However, you can customize these to fit your use case.

Asset

Manage brands - Allows users to create, delete, and modify {{brands}}. XML import (if available) - Allows users to import XML	Export metadata CSV file on download - Allows users to export and download the asset metadata to a CSV file.	Show all assets as watermarked - Displays all assets as watermarked (set it for specific user profiles).
Asset Management

Edit hidden metaproperties on assets- Allows users to edit metaproperties that are hidden.	Upload assets - Allows users to upload directly to the Asset Bank. Delete assets - Allows users to delete assets and asset versions from the Asset Bank. Edit assets - Allows users to edit assets. Mark assets as public - Allows users to mark assets as public. Download watermarked assets directly - Allows users to download watermarked assets without approval.	Download asset additionals - Allows users to download and view additional files. Download archived assets - Allows users to download archived assets. View archived assets - Allows users to view archived assets. Crop asset - Allows users to crop assets using the cropping tool. Download limited usage assets - Allows users to download assets marked as limited usage. View limited usage assets -Allows users to view assets marked as limited usage. Download original assets - Allows users to download the original uploaded assets and view public links. Download public asset derivatives - Allows users to download asset derivatives marked as public. Upload assets with mandatory approval—This option allows users to upload assets for approval. An administrator must approve all uploads. Download non-public asset derivatives - Allows users to download the non-public asset derivatives.
Brand

		View assets for all brands - Allows users to view assets for all brands.
Collections

	Embed collections - Allows users to create an embed code to embed the collection. Feature collections on dashboard - Users can add created collections to the homepage. View collections other users shared - Allows users to view the collections that other users shared. View collections of other users - Allows users to view collections created by others. Publish collections online - Allows users to publish created collections. View collections other users received - Allows users to view the collections others received.	Access to collections published online -Allows users to view the Public Collections Tab in the Collections overview. Create collections - Allows users to create collections from assets. Transfer collection ownership - Allows users to transfer the ownership of a collection.
Content Customization

Manage content customization - This permission is necessary for maintenance by Bynder and shouldn't be enabled for admin and user profiles.
Homepage

Manage news - Allows users to manage news. Manage quick links - Allows users to manage quick links.		Restrict access to the dashboard - Hides the dashboard/homepage for users.
Preset

		Share metadata presets - Allows users to share metadata presets.
Reporting

View Users & Storage - Allows users to view the portal's storage and user licenses. View change history - Allows users to access Change history data. View advanced reporting - Allows users to access Bynder Analytics. Export user data - Allows users to export comprehensive user data to a CSV file.
Sharing

Create general asset bank filters - Allows users to create general Asset Bank filters for portal-wide usage.		Share assets - Allows users to share assets. Create personal asset bank filters -This allows users to create and share their personal Asset Bank filters. Share assets with user groups - Allows users to share assets with user groups. Access to Bynder Express - Allows users to share files using the Bynder Express. View personal transfer history - This allows users to view their Bynder Express transfer history. View transfer history from others - Allows users to view the Bynder Express transfer history from others. Manage 'require login' on shares - Allows users to ensure that only logged-in users can access their share.
System Admin

Manage the look & feel of the portal -Allows users to customize portal theme Create Bynder API tokens - Allows users to create API tokens. View Bynder API tokens - Allows users to view API credentials. Revoke Bynder API tokens - Allows users to revoke API credentials. Manage portal settings - Allows users to access portal settings. Restore removed assets- Allows users to restore deleted assets. Restore removed metaproperties - Allows users to restore deleted metaproperties. Restore removed metaproperty options - Allows users to restore deleted metaproperty options. Manage OAuth apps -Allows users to manage OAuth apps. Manage Bynder permanent API tokens - Allows users to manage permanent API tokens.
Taxonomy

Manage categories - Allows users to manage categories. Manage metaproperties - Allows users to manage metaproperties. Manage metaproperty options - Allows users to manage metaproperty options. Manage smart filters - Allows users to manage smart filters.	Manage tags - Allows users to manage asset tags.
Users and Permissions

Manage user groups - Allows users to manage user groups. Manage permission profiles - Access the user profile screen to set up permissions. Manage user portal access - Allows users to manage user access to other company portals. Manage users - Allows users to edit, delete, or add new users. Manage own user profile - Allows users to manage their user profile. Manage login configuration- Allows users to configure SSO.		Require MFA on login - Requires users to set up MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) for their user account.
Waiting Room
Heavy user	Regular user	Light user
Audit quarantined assets - Allow users the ability to audit quarantined assets in Waiting room or Quarantine section	Audit download requests - Allows users to audit download requests in the Waiting Room. Audit upload requests - Allows users to audit upload requests in the waiting room.
