Summary
You can manage audio in Studio using two methods. One is via a global MP3 or WAV audio track that can be applied to the entire video. The second method allows you to use the audio tracks from your MOV or MP4 video assets. This provides flexibility and control over your audio and gives the end user the ability to use their own uploaded video files for audio. Studio supports multi-channel audio, allowing more than one audio track in a Studio design.
Who?
This feature/solution requires your Customer Success Contact to enable, but then individual permissions can be done by the Bynder Admin.
Once Studio is enabled, users with the Admin and Content Designer permissions can add audio files to designs in Studio.
Why?
Bynder supports the need to customize your designs in Studio. We want to empower Studio users to make the content they want within Bynder. We allow multi-channel audio uploads for even more flexibility, allowing users to have more than one global audio file in the design.
How?
Uploading Via Global AudioTrack (MP3 OR WAV)
- Navigate to Studio.
- Either create a new video design or edit an existing video design.
- On the right-hand side, click Browse in the audio section.
- Select the supported audio file(s) from the Asset Bank or upload new file(s). You will do this for however many audio files you wish to add to the design. Your audio tracks will number themselves when uploading multiple. From here you can also adjust the fade of the audio tracks. Note: Audio files are global when using multi-channel support.
- In order to trim the audio file you want to use and click Trim audio to maximize the duration of your design.
- Once complete, click Publish to save changes.
Uploading Via Audio through Video Assets (MOV or MP4)
- Navigate to Studio.
- Either create a new video design or edit an existing video design.
- Click
- Select Video.

Browse or search for the asset you’d like to add in the Global Assets, a Collection, or Uploads (if applicable) section.

Global Assets: This section includes the assets, as well as the collections, available in your Asset Bank.

Uploads: This section includes the assets, as well as the collections, that you’ve uploaded to your personal Uploads section. Learn more here.

- Select the video and click Add asset.
- Trim the video by adjusting the handles on the timeline or by entering Start and End timecode values (MM:SS: FF) below the clip preview. Once complete, click Trim Video.
- On the right-hand side, enable Use audio.
- Once complete, click Publish to save changes.
