Metaproperties and Options: Manage Metaproperty Sub-options

Create Metaproperty Sub-options

Note: Sub-options can only be added to single and multi-select metaproperties and autocomplete search must be disabled.

 

  1. Navigate to Settings settings_menu.png > Taxonomy > Metaproperties management and click Metaproperties and options in the left sidebar.
  2. Follow the steps outlined here to create a metaproperty.
  3. Once you have selected your metaproperty type (single or multi select only) you can begin to add your options.
  4. Make sure that autcomplete search is disabled.
  5. Under Options (Optional) you can begin entering the option names.
  6. Click Create metaproperty.
  7. Navigate to the selected metaproperty.
  8. Click on the Option that you want to add a sub-option.
  9. On the right-hand side click Sub-options.
  10. Click + to add the sub-option.
  11. Begin adding the sub-option names.
  12. Click Save.

NOTE: Sub-options cannot contain automations or restrict visibility rights. 

Edit Metaproperty Sub-options

  1. Navigate to Settings settings_menu.png > Taxonomy > Metaproperties management and click Metaproperties and options in the left sidebar.
  2. Navigate or search for the metaproperty you want to edit, then click it.
  3. Select the Option and Sub-option and click
    • Rename: rename the sub-option.
    • +Add sub-sub-option: add an additional level of categorization by including a sub-option within the selected sub-option.
    • Translations: add various translations to the sub-option (German, French, Spanish, Dutch, etc). You can add translations to both the sub-option and the sub-sub-option.
    • Delete: Delete the sub-option or sub-sub-option without altering the nested metaproperty.
