Manage User Requests via Request Form

One way to manage Bynder user access is via a request form that, if configured, will appear on your portal’s homepage. Once the requestor completes the form, you can approve or deny their access to a Bynder account.

NOTE: A Bynder Admin can set up a User Request Approver without adjusting the user's permission type. The user will receive an email and either approve or reject the requestor.  Learn how to set up a user request approver here

How to Manage User Access Requests via Settings

  1. Navigate to  settings_menu.pngSettings > Users & rights > User Access Requests.
  2. Navigate, search, or filter for the user access request.
  3. Click next to the request.
  4. Click Reject or Activate user.
  •
    • If you click Activate user, they will receive an email with a link to set up a password for their account.
    • If you click Reject, they will receive an email notifying them of the rejection.
      • [Optional] You can include why they were rejected in the note section.

NOTE: When a user request is submitted and pending auditing, the system stores this information as an inactive user on the user management page. If the inactive user is deleted from the portal, it will result in that user's request form appearing blank and will no longer be auditable.

How to Manage User Access Requests via Email

You can approve/reject users via email who do not have access to the User Access Requests section on your portal.

  1. Click on the link in the email that you receive with the user access request.
  2. Click Reject or Activate user.
    • If you click Activate user, they will receive an email with a link to set up a password for their account.
    • If you click Reject, they will receive an email notifying them of the rejection.
