You can update the font in your portal to an available Google font or your organization’s custom font. All changes will apply to your DAM portal theme. Upon uploading a custom font, the system will automatically extract and fill in the font metadata; this includes details such as font name, and other relevant attributes that you do not need to manually input. This automated process streamlines the management of multiple fonts, saving time, improving efficiency, and reducing the potential for human error.

Who can customize a Portal's Look & Feel?
Upload a Custom Font
If one of the available Google Fonts does not fit your needs, you can upload your organization's custom fonts. You can upload more than one font at a time and upload multiple fonts from different families.
- Navigate to > Advanced Settings > Portal Settings.
- Click Fonts under the Look & Feel section in the left sidebar.
- In the upper right corner, click Upload and select one or multiple font files from your computer.
- WOFF2, WOFF, TTF, and OTF file formats are supported.
- After reading the disclaimer, click Confirm and continue.
- Click Upload Fonts.
- All of the metadata related to the font will be extracted and autofilled.
Delete Custom Fonts
If you delete a font that is currently being used in the portal, the Bynder default font will display.
- Navigate to > Advanced Settings > Portal Settings.
- Click Fonts under the Look & Feel section in the left sidebar.
- Select the font style you want to delete. You cannot delete the entire font family.

Reset Fonts
If necessary, you can reset your portal back to the default Bynder font.
- Navigate to > Advanced Settings > Portal Settings.
- Click Portal Theme under the Look & Feel section in the left sidebar.
- Select Fonts in the Theme Properties section on the right-hand side.
- Click the dropdown next to the font you’d like to update and select Default to update the font to the Bynder default.
FAQ
Can I use the fonts for other Bynder Modules?
No, you can only use these custom fonts in your Portal Theme. However, we are always working to streamline this process for other modules, so please take a look at our Product Roadmap for future improvements or provide feedback to add these improvements. If you want to upload your custom for Studio, please contact Customer Support.
What happens if my company changes fonts and I need to update the font family?
You can follow the steps to upload the new font and apply it to your portal theme, then delete the outdated styles.
Can I change the pre-filled data or edit the custom font once my custom font is uploaded?
You cannot change or edit the style once you've uploaded it to prevent human error. You must upload the new style to change the font style.
Why is my font name different than I expected?
Upon uploading a custom font, the system will automatically extract and fill in the font metadata; this includes details such as font name, weight, and other relevant attributes that you do not need to input manually.
If the font file’s metadata is incorrect (for example, the name is saved as "."), our system will not be able to detect the expected font name. You will need to correct the metadata before you try to upload the font again.
