Manage Your Portal's Font

  • Updated

In this article, we will review how you can update the font in your portal to an available Google font or your organization’s custom font.

Updating the look and feel of your Bynder DAM is one of the ways to make your portal stand out. Within our standard theme, you’ll be able to update the logo, colors, fonts, favicon, and login page buttons and copy to ensure that your portal is on-brand.

Note: The changes are applied to the Asset Bank, Collections, Brand Guidelines, and Asset Workflow modules. Currently, Studio and Content Workflow are not customizable.

Note

We’ve released this new self-service section for updating the look and feel to a limited number of Bynder portals. If you are interested in switching to the self-service look and feel functionality, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

How to update the font

You can customize the font of your portal to an available Google font or one of your custom fonts.

Note: These fonts can be used in DAT transformations.

  2. Click Portal Theme under the Look & Feel section in the left sidebar.
  3. Select Fonts in the Theme Properties section on the right-hand side.
  4. Click the dropdown next to the font you’d like to update and select a font from the list of Available fonts (Google font) or Uploaded Fonts. Learn more about uploading a custom font here.
    • Base font family: This font is the primary font used throughout the portal.

  6. Click Save changes.

Note

  • When uploading multiple fonts in a font family, each font should have a unique Base Font Weight and Heading Font Weight combination to differentiate the fonts. If fonts have the same values for both, the system will detect that they're duplicates.
  • The selected Heading font family is not reflected in the preview window.
  • Italic fonts are not used in the portal, so they cannot be a selected font.

Upload a custom font

If one of the available Google Fonts does not fit your needs, you can upload your organization's custom fonts.

  1. Navigate to Screenshot_2023-04-05_at_1.55.53_PM.png> Advanced Settings > Portal Settings.
  2. Click Fonts under the Look & Feel section in the left sidebar.
  3. In the upper right corner, click Upload and select one or multiple font files from your computer.

    Note

    • WOFF2, WOFF, TTF, and OTF file formats are supported.
    • Only upload multiple font files from the same font family.
  4. After reading the disclaimer, click Confirm and continue.
  5. Enter the Font family name, then update the Font Weight and Font Style for each uploaded font.
